A number of years ago, Dan Rather was mugged, and all the assailant(s) said to him was "What's the frequency, Kenneth?"
Just a bit of the weirdness that goes with the Dan Rather legacy.

A convict from a future/alternate reality was tranported to this reality, in return for a pardon. He had a chip in his head that, in the event he did not go the the redevue point, it would start sending messages, so as to insure he would return.
His missed his first return date, and the Vice President, Kenneth somebody, who looked exactly like Dan Rather (all people in each reality have a doppleganger) started sending messages driving this poor slob crazy.
He saw the VP (Dan) and proceeded to kick the heck out of him, screaming "What's the frequency [of the transmissions to the chip], Kenneth?" He then realized his mistake, as he knew the VP was too much of a coward to make the trip himself, so he stopped kicking the prostrate Dan.
He was arressted, and, alas, missed his second, and last, chance to return. As a result, the messages continued.
The man later tried desparately to stop the messages by getting on the Today Show set, where he shot and killed a crewman.
He is now in an insane asylum, and the messages from Kenneth continue, now on auto-repeat.
In sum, Dan Rather is a prick in two realities.
