Dear Silverback,
We've got to spend every dollar as carefully and wisely as we can between now and November. And as we learned in Florida in 2000, we have to expect the unexpected on and after Election Day. That's why I'm writing to ask for your immediate help on a very special project.
Election Day is several weeks away, but our campaign is already considering our options should John Kerry or George Bush pursue a recount like the famous Florida ballot dispute in 2000. That year, the Bush campaign raised more than $14 million in the Florida crisis, compared to Al Gore's campaign, which raised $3.2 million. We can never again be outspent 4-to-1 in such a critical situation.
Help us get a head start funding our recount efforts:

Our campaign is asking the Federal Election Commission whether we could use our GELAC fund to pay the expenses associated with a recount effort. We are optimistic that the FEC will rule by the end of the month. But we can't wait. We need to begin raising funds now.
Your GELAC contribution will also help in other vital and even more immediate ways. It can free up more of the limited public funds we have available to buy media, support candidate travel, and pay for direct contact with voters. Here's how it works. The law allows candidates like John Kerry, who accept public financing, to raise private contributions to cover legal, accounting, and related administrative costs. Without sufficient GELAC funds, we would have to divert portions of our public financing allotment to cover those costs.
That's a step we simply can't afford to take.
Contribute to our critical GELAC fund here:

I urge you to help us raise the maximum for GELAC. That way, we can spend our entire general election budget on the things that matter the most. That's our goal. Please act today to help us meet it.
Thank you,
Mary Beth Cahill

One of the airplanes split a wood prop in New Mexico. Got a new one double quick, but didn't have the right tools to remove the old hub. Had to use stolen hose clamps and pebbles to get it off.
Nearly blown away in a tent on the ramp in NM at 2am.
Formation takoffs in Kansas. Followed by engine shutdown at 7k feet from some fuel issue (never did figure out why).
Almost got ran over by T-6, 50 miles from OSH (100 feet).
Nearly broke foot slipping in the wet grass getting ready to leave. Still hurts sometimes and that was 3-4 years ago.
Reading all this, it sounds like a tragedy. But it was all a hoot cause we were having fun, didn't have a schedule. And had three airplanes, credit cards, and two weeks vacation. Whooooeeeee.
Obviously the Kerry Campaign is gearing up to attempt to throw the nation into turmoil immediately following the elections. I still remember the feeling of helplessness I had in 2000, when the crooked county election commissioners in Florida were lying, cheating and stealing in order to overthrow Bush's lead...do you remember the democrat county election commissioner who actually had one of those voting machines IN HER TRUNK? Kerry cannot win fairly, and I believe him and his ilk to be capable of anything. I truly believe that the 1996 presidential election was the last presidential election that the United States will have that is uncontested. A precedent has been set (thank you, Algore) for contested elections and after all we are talking about the most powerful position on the planet hanging in the balance. We could be in for a wild ride over the next 3-4 months...strap in!
Ted Kennedy was probing James Comey yesterday during the judiciary hearing about the justice departments role in elections. A rather odd line of questioning considering that this hearing was about the Patriot Act.
RNC chairman Ed Gillespie has already warned us that democrats are going to put 10,000 lawyers into the field on election day.
And now this.
To me, it all adds up to one thing. The democrats have a grand scheme to try and steal the election (better make that elections, I don't think it's just going to be aimed at the presidential race) through the courts. Florida 2000 may pale by comparison.
Wow... I hadn't seen that yet! Do you have a link, please?
It's probably gonna scare Democrats more than anything. Nobody liked the fact that the last election was in turmoil for months. That kind of thing happens in 3rd world countries not the USA.
Maybe we need to be prepared as well?
Kerry Campaign already planning for a recount, lol. They really ARE in trouble.
The expect to lose, it sounds like, therefore, they will claim they were cheated and drag up all of the 2000 goofiness again. I don't think the public wants to hear the dumocrats whining about dimpled chads again.
BORE LOSERMAN!
Do they think for a moment that a stolen Presidency won't bring blood in the streets?
Do they think for a moment that a stolen Presidency won't bring blood in the streets?
I don't know what they think.
Roger that! Let's make it happen!
Yeah! I didn't think it would work, but it did!
Good thing Kerry will probably win Illinois.
Any UN observors hanging around my polling station are in danger of being considered enemy combatants.
It will be posted tomorrow. I've given up trying to salvage the wreckage from earlier weeks and will get it on track. I promise!
Absolutely. And that includes keeping your powder dry in the literal sense. This could end up being a footnote in history, but prepare for the worst.
I don't think they can pull it off, because the margin won't be razor-thin, and remember that the folks who predict it will be razor-thin are the same folks who said neither convention would get a bounce. That said, if the American people sense that the election was stolen, there will be a revolution, and the people who it was stolen from have all the guns.
What else should we expect from the RATS?
Whatever they pull, have faith that they are more bark then dog. How much worse can it get then putting it up before the Supreme Court? Bush survived that one once already.
We won't let them steal it. I agree if the lead is large enough going into the election that they'd look like a gang of Cat Burglers carrying semi trucks of loot on their backs with George Soros painted on them.
