"We must prepare now"--Kerry Campaign email begs for soreloser recount donations

Kerry-Edwards 2004

Contribute to our GELAC fund

Dear Silverback,

We've got to spend every dollar as carefully and wisely as we can between now and November. And as we learned in Florida in 2000, we have to expect the unexpected on and after Election Day. That's why I'm writing to ask for your immediate help on a very special project.

Election Day is several weeks away, but our campaign is already considering our options should John Kerry or George Bush pursue a recount like the famous Florida ballot dispute in 2000. That year, the Bush campaign raised more than $14 million in the Florida crisis, compared to Al Gore's campaign, which raised $3.2 million. We can never again be outspent 4-to-1 in such a critical situation.

Help us get a head start funding our recount efforts:

https://contribute.johnkerry.com

Our campaign is asking the Federal Election Commission whether we could use our GELAC fund to pay the expenses associated with a recount effort. We are optimistic that the FEC will rule by the end of the month. But we can't wait. We need to begin raising funds now.

Your GELAC contribution will also help in other vital and even more immediate ways. It can free up more of the limited public funds we have available to buy media, support candidate travel, and pay for direct contact with voters. Here's how it works. The law allows candidates like John Kerry, who accept public financing, to raise private contributions to cover legal, accounting, and related administrative costs. Without sufficient GELAC funds, we would have to divert portions of our public financing allotment to cover those costs.

That's a step we simply can't afford to take.

Contribute to our critical GELAC fund here:

https://contribute.johnkerry.com

I urge you to help us raise the maximum for GELAC. That way, we can spend our entire general election budget on the things that matter the most. That's our goal. Please act today to help us meet it.

Thank you,

Mary Beth Cahill

Hmmmm...I think they know they're in trouble. Get ready for Soreloserman II, even if Dubya wins by 7 points.

Oh, and I also got a fundraising email from Hillary this morning...though I suspect it may have been ghostwritten by one of her pantsuits.

Translation:
"Our campaign volunteers may work for free,
but the lawyers expect to get paid."

If it isn't close, they can
still complain, but they
can't cheat, recount or
litigate successfully.

Mr. Silverback eh. Hadn't seen you around before.

That was the handle I used on the radio on one of the greatest flights I ever took. From Phoenix to the airshow at Oskosh in formation with two other planes. Took 3 days. Weathered storms in the desert. Buzzing across west Texas. Most fun I ever had in my life with my pants on.

Won't happen. Americans will not stand for liberal foolishness this time around.

Besides, it looks like kerry would have to demand a recount in every battle ground state. Even the ones that kerry loses by more than 5 points.

Now we are finding out the Terry McAlluiffe is quoted by the AP for using the same language as is in the memogate memos the night before CBS "broke" the story. Wait until this fact is widely known to John and Jane 6pack.

Kerry is toast, and Dan Rather and Terry McAlluiffe are helping bring about his defeat through their hate of the President. Pass the popcorn

Hmm..
They're already anticipating sending their lawyers to Florida before the polls even close due to supposed 'voting irregularities'..
Interesting.
Do they even know that they're telegraphing their intent to commit vote fraud?

The "special project" already has a name: Sore-Loserman II. And thanks to the U.N. "election observers" that our idiotic State Department invited into our nation, the Leftists will now have third-party Leftists to legitimize their crackpot claims.

Think about it... right now the BEST CASE SCENERIO for Kerry is a furious late comeback sparked by three outstanding debates, closing W's gap in the polls bringing it back to dead heat on Nov 2nd.

They're either going to get their asses kicked, or they're going to have a bunch of razor thin margins in swing states. I think it's shrewd to raise money now. Good for them. Unfortunately for them it demonstrates what a perilous position they're in right now.

They don't have to be close in order to cheat ... they only have to be Democrats. Even if it's 43% Kerry 55% Bush, 2% Nader, they'll still try to cheat ... even though Bush will have beaten Kerry by a 12 point spread. They can't help but cheat ... as I said above, they're Democrats. It's what they do.

They will. It's about politically de-legitimizing the election. The Dems claim Bush wasn't elected in 2000. They'll be singing the same ol' delusional song and suck their kool-aid drinking fools dry again with side show hucksterism. We must not become complacent. Vote and hustle others to vote. There was a lady FReeper who told me she and her husband changed vacation plans just to vote for Bush. God Bless 'em both. We all need that commitment.

Hi Narby,

Having gone the opposite way (OSH - TX - and up to the Bay Area), that's quite a trip. What were you flying? We were a Tiger and (only a small part of the way - that's another story) a Wilga. Guess which one I liked better!
