KVI-AM (570) is already carrying programming from Fox News, including nationally syndicated shows hosted by Sean Hannity (noon-3 p.m.) and Tony Snow (9 a.m. to noon), but yesterday the Seattle station announced a closer affiliation with Fox. KVI will be branded as a Fox radio station. It is adding "Fox News Live with Alan Colmes" at 7-9 p.m. weekdays, and an encore hour of Hannity's program at 6-7 p.m. KVI is adding bottom-of-the-hour news updates from Fox in mornings and afternoons, and will carry breaking news reports from the network. Fox and KVI said the Seattle station is the first local radio outlet to carry the Fox News brand.
EXCELLLENT! Now more radio stations can dump ABC and CBS radio news.
Go Alan, we love you :)
I will take alan for 'balance' if it creates a run on viacom stock.
Our station with Rush has Fox Radio updates on the half hour. Get the Fox Foxes. The last half hour with Rush we got Patty Ann.
I like KVI so I hate to see them pick up a lib. If your familiar w/ Seattle radio they're competition for KTTH. KTTH picked up Rush about a year ago from KVI and is an Entercom station like KIRO radio. If this does anything to hurt Viacom that would be great but I don't believe there is a direct connection if any. Alan Colmes against O'reilly and Ingraham? I like the last two.
Colmes is a 'strawman' liberal. thier tucker Carlson.
While is an excellent, honest debater, he always looks bad.
My guess is in order to GET Fox KVI HAD to take Colmes.
I think that instead of going after radio stations, FOX should create an evening news show for their FOX broadcast stations to compete against ABC/NBC/CBS. That would be the coup de gras for CBS News.

After putting up with it for 10 minutes trying to figure out what was going on and why all the callers were liberals, I figured something was up.
Fortunately I just stay tuned to KTTH most of the day... Rush, Medved (I could do without Savage though)... now *that* is a true conservative's station. :)
Colmes has nothing relevant to say. His pathetic attempts to justify socialism, lying Clinton, shilling for Hillary,
and all the liberal causes and people leave me completely cold. It must be embarrassing to have to take positions which cannot be justified.
KTTH could lose both Savage and O'Reilly. Why oh why can't we have Dennis Prager?
Essentially KTTH is what KVI used to be about 4 to 5 years ago. I have to wonder if Fischer Broadcasting hadn't snookered Entercom out of the Mariner's radio contract would this have ever happened. They payed Fischer back in spades by snagging Rush.
Ditto. The message is good but the messenger...well put.
Alan Colmes? What am I going to listen to now in the evening when I'm working in the garage? I can't stand Bill O'Reilly on KTTH from 6-8, but I guess I will be forced to now.
KTTH has a great line-up except for the O'Reilly's spot. I suggest replacing him with Michael Reagan, Hugh Hewitt, Bill Bennett, or Larry Elder
KVI - The web site does not list the new line-up yet, but if they are replacing Tony Snow for Alan Colmes I will not be listening after 6. period. The Fox news will be good though. KVI had the worse news. The 4:00 AM world news that I wake up to was a 15 second high-lite. Thats it. Hope it's better now.
Added thought - Could either of these stations pick up Brian Malony who KIRO fired for his statements about Dan Rather.
I remember when Maloney used to host at KVI in the early evenings. He would be a better fit back at KVI than Colmes. It was mentioned that Colmes was part of the Fox package so theres probably no way to dump him.
Fischer's flagship station is KOMO TV and 1000 AM. They have the rats pretty well represented on their staff like Ken Schram. KVI has been the bastard step child.
Yes, but having Colmes will suck listeners away from KIRO.
Hahaha
