That's Gregory's father?
These days, Gazarra is based in Italy, where he continues to make movies.
Gazarra has been a cigar smoker for more than thirty years. Prior to that, he had a cigarette habit of four packs a day. A whistle in his bronchial tubes and the release of the Surgeon General's report about the dangers of smoking made him give up cigarettes in 1963, but the report made no mention of cigars, which he continued to smoke. Gazzara is currently battling oral cancer. We wish him a speedy recovery and a return to his craft. During a career that spans almost a half-century, Ben Gazarra has given us many memorable characters. We hope there will be many more to come.

What exactly are those folks you named other than terrorists doing to prevent it? I expect an answer along the lines of "talking about things other than how wonderful it is that Saddam is gone", so if you have some other answer that would probably work better. The area of my single most profound disagreement with the President and most FReepers is the silly idea that talking about anything other than putting our head down and doing exactly what we are doing is somehow deleterious. Yes, in some societies such talk is considered to be so damaging that they outlaw it and lock people up for it.
It is true that democracy is not easily attained. It is even more difficult when it is imposed from without.

Wendell asked a gutsy question. He won't be allowed back on the press bus. Forgive me, I'm CB (cubicle-bound)...what was Wendell's question?

[Terry Moran]>> Mr. President, mr. Prime minister, I would like to ask about the iraqi people. Both of you have spoken for them today and yet over the past several months, there have been polls conducted by the coalition provisional authority by the oxford institute and other reputable organizations that have found very strong majority dos not see the united states as a liberator, but as an act piier, are unhappy with american policy -- occupyer are unhappy with american policy and want us out the real voices of the iraqi people themselves contradict the rosy scenarios you are painting here today.

But what I love the most...was Alawii's geography lesson to the press (and some of us, me in particular) about the EIGHTEEN PROVINCES that make up Iraq. He even said eighteen, the ONE EIGHT, to make sure they heard...and then he said, out of those 18, fourteen or FIFTEEN are ready to have elections TOMORROW in relation to safety and security...that only three are genuine problem areas of terrorist attacks....and that they need to understand this!

Well, in Rubin's case he feels America is found in the heartland of France, Iran, and the terrorist training camps.

Did you see the smackdown Ralph Peters gave Jamie Rubin today in the NY Post?

Ya know the Traitor calling anyone a "liar" is like the pot calling the kettle black and after a while it lands on deaf ears...
The Swiftees have pretty much been the proverbial nail in the political coffin for the Traitor...
At this point the Traitor has less credibility than a screen door on a submarine!

Rubin: If you want change vote for John Kerry. If you want to stay the course vote for President Bush.
I am so happy that he gave me permission. CREEP!
I am so sick of these leftover Clintonites (who screwed up ROYALLY) telling President Bush how he SHOULD run things. PUKE!
