DFU SONG: I Love You More Today than Yesterday (Kerry position yesterday will change tomorrow)
DFU SONGS | 9-2004 | Lyrics, Doug from Upland

MIDI - I LOVE YOU MORE TODAY THAN YESTERDAY

I can't remember the things I've said
Oh, that's right, I said that Bush misled
Yes, there are times when I lose concentration
But if you will stick with me I know that we'll take back this nation

When I am windsurfing it's relaxing me
I love it when you say "Keep taxing me"
I hope all my records will remain safely hidden
I am so screwed if they're seen, that's why I'm keeping them forbidden

Do not believe what I said yesterday
'Cause I will change it tomorrow
Do not believe what I said yesterday
Because I will pull a flip-flop...and I'll change tomorrow

There are 10 positions I take on Iraq
Please call that nuance instead of a crock
Yes, there are those times when I just lose concentration
But if you will stick with me I know that we'll take back this nation

Do not believe what I said yesterday
'Cause I will change it tomorrow
Do not believe what I said yesterday
Because I will pull a flip-flop...and I'll change tomorrow

One of these days I swear to God I'll put on a concert and sing all these parodies you write :-). Me and that Russell guy ;-).

I'm probably just about the only person on this forum who actually remembers Spiral Starecase. :-)

I didn't remember that was their name. For some reason, I was thinking this was perhaps a Chicago tune.

For several years, I have encouraged a karaoke, but it has never happened.

There's a really neat 4 1/2 minute demo at the Spiral Starecase website that gets around to this song about 1/2 way through. These guys can really sing. And you were probably fooled into thinking "Chicago" because of the good brass section ;-).

The original was a one-hit-wonder by the short-lived group Spiral Staircase. I liked the song. And I really enjoy what you did with it.
