Could this be taken as the Dems admitting that they don't believe Kerry will win the election?I take it as Senator Bob Graham actually doing something right for one time in his career. He and Goss have a good working relationship through their positions on the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, and Graham has supported Goss for DCI since he was nominated. The Rats knew they needed to flip Graham on Goss to give them enough political cover to pull off one of their "filibusters", and I'm sure they applied immense pressure to Graham to withdraw his support for Goss. It seems Graham may have actually made like a broken clock.

Well, they actually didn't need Graham. Goss got 77 votes. Even without Graham, they had more than the 60 votes needed to avoid a filibuster.
Graham did vote for Goss, though. Just kinda interesting . . .

(Other than that unfortunate incident with the hamster, Kerry has done nothing "heroic" in decades.)
