So Kerry didn't vote either?

I wouldn't take this as an indication the Dems are cashing in on losing the election. It could go either way. They could be of the mind it doesn't matter if he's confirmed since he can be dismissed in a few months.

I think it instead highlights the majority do not want the reputation of not taking security seriously during the election. Except, apparently, our anti-war candidates heading the Dem ticket.

I guess the only thing to say is the old cliche that politics ain't beanbag. But Mack probably should have run in his own district.

Here's the toll free number for the US Capitol. They'll connect you to any congressman or senator.

1-800-839-5276

I make it my patriotic duty to make at least one call every day.

But I do call to say thank you to people like Zell and others who have shown patriotism.

Yes. It'll be Connie Mack IV, great grandson of baseball great Connie Mack and son of former U.S. Senator Connie Mack III.

Mack grew up in Ft. Myers. While the other candidates complained, Mack really wasn't the carpetbagger portrayed by some.

It's ironic that some complained about Mack as being a newcomer, especially in light of the fact that practically everyone else in the 14th district came here from somewhere else.

That was quick and "Rather" quiet.

I thought that many key Rat Senators were going to fight this to their end.

17 against isn't much of a fight.

Are the senators conceding to a massive Kerry defeat?

Could this be taken as the Dems admitting that they don't believe Kerry will win the election?

I take it as Senator Bob Graham actually doing something right for one time in his career. He and Goss have a good working relationship through their positions on the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, and Graham has supported Goss for DCI since he was nominated. The Rats knew they needed to flip Graham on Goss to give them enough political cover to pull off one of their "filibusters", and I'm sure they applied immense pressure to Graham to withdraw his support for Goss. It seems Graham may have actually made like a broken clock.

Good idea...I've got unlimited LD so I just go to those guys web site and get their phone numbers to their offices in DC and in there district/or state. I also get their little ole fax numbers and shoot them ugly letters after I call them. However, I don't do this on a daily bases....you've got a really great idea there.

Continually letting them know we're watching them at all times.

Notice Daschle was among the moonbats voting yea. Those polls showing Thune taking his Senate seat must be weighing heavily on his mind.

"Notice Daschle was among the moonbats voting yea. Those polls showing Thune taking his Senate seat must be weighing heavily on his mind."

His focus groups have identified him as soft on terrorism and anti GW when it comes the WOT. It wouldn't surprise me to see him driving his SUV with Bush Cheney stickers on it before the election is over.

Finestein and the real moonbat Murray voted yea.

That would be the SUV with the shovels in the back seen cruising around the reservations, the driver looking for dead indians to dig up and register to vote.

I am not sure but I think Santorum and Spector might have been surveying flood damage throughout the state during this vote. We got killed here in western PA! I don't want to make an excuse for them as they should have still found time to get to Washington and vote for this but it's possible they knew Goss would get confirmed and their votes wouldn't have mattered......it's also possible that their votes would have cancelled each other out. Spector is a huge RINO!
