TRENTON, N.J. -- Threatening comments made about President Bush by a Hopewell Township woman whose son was killed in Iraq are under review by the Secret Service.
*snip* Jacobs said Niederer's comments fall under the same parameters.
"It's political hyperbole," she said. "This woman obviously has no intention of threatening the president's life, and it's obvious from her statements."

Hmm, the same woman who showed up an hysterical wrecj during Laura Bush's speech...?
It's ridiculous to consider her a threat!

Forget about her - it's some idiot that sympathizes with her that I'm concerned about.

Unlike CBS, the Secret Service actually checks out the things it's supposed to check out.

This poor lady is a victim the "Bush lied" propaganda that Moore and his ilk have been spewing since we went into Iraq.

It's ridiculous to consider her a threat! That John Hinckley said some loopy, obviously "out there" comments too. Everyone around him thought he was joking or engaging in hyperbole.
It was ridiculous to consider him a threat.

She's a disgrace to her son. She had made his death in vain to her family. Now she will grow old and die a disgraced vile filled old lady. I salute her son.
To: Rutles4Ever
Forget about her - it's some idiot that sympathizes with her that I'm concerned about Can't ignore it. It would mean that some people have good reason to threaten the POTUS and that we pick and choose which threats we want to forgive.
The next one might make the same threat because he lost his job and blames the president or thinks he pays too much taxes and threatens the president. Then it becomes "hmmmm, well, she has a better reason to threaten the president than him so we'll let her go and throw away the key on the guy with the less sympathetic threat."

Ha, she stood up in front of a group of people and said what she said and now the Secret Service has to check her out and President Bush did not kill her son. Terrorists killed her son!

" Federal officials said they are examining comments made in online postings of interviews with Sue Niederer, who was arrested last week during a Republican campaign rally in Mercer County when she interrupted a speech by first lady Laura Bush."

And that is a fact and not an opinion.

Her son, if he were still with us, might agree with her. My understanding is she has said he joined the military for the college money. I appreciate his service, I'm sorry for her loss, but don't be so quick to judge her as a disgrace to her son.
