Blame Fonda, Kerry for smearing veterans
Like my father and older brother before me, my only ambition as a young man was to serve my country as a U.S. Marine. I started my tour of duty in the early 1970s.
I could hardly wait for the day when I graduated from boot camp and received my first uniform. Unfortunately, being a Marine was not a popular notion during those times. At my first duty station at Camp Pendleton, California, we were discouraged from wearing our uniforms off base for our own personal safety.
I served with a lot of Marines who had been "in-country" and returned alive and well. They returned alive, but not so well mentally and emotionally — not so well because of the hatred shown them by forward-thinking, liberal actors such as Jane Fonda and John Kerry. Both of these individuals were very good actors. Both had agendas that served only themselves.
On more than a few occasions, we were required to stand riot control duty at the gates of the Western Whitehouse, the home of President Richard Nixon. We were there to protect the president of the United States from his own people. People who were incited into rioting by people such as Jane Fonda and John Kerry.
John Kerry then labeled veterans who had served as much as 26 months in Vietnam as baby killers. It didn't matter if they had served in Vietnam or not, everyone in uniform was lumped into the same lot by these idiots who were being led by John Kerry. Kerry and Fonda had a large part in causing public opinion to blame these true heroes for all that was evil in America during that time.
That blame remained with these veterans for many years. That blame, not the experience of combat, was the reason so many Vietnam veterans still have not completely adjusted to coming home after more than 30 years. Next time you hear one veteran telling another "welcome home brother," thank Jane Fonda and John Kerry for that overdue welcome taking so long.

Saw an interview last night on Fox Hannity and Colmes with John O'Neil. Alan was trying to get O'Neil to say the word "treason" instead of betrayed. O'Neil was trying to be careful on the record, but I can tell you that what Fonda and Kerry did in my opinion was nothing short of treason during the middle of a war.
Why would O'Neil tiptoe around the truth?
Fonda and Kerry and their Komrades in the streets of America have a direct responsibility to the deaths of US servicemen in Nam and the slaughter in that area after we left.
"Isn't it sad that we are at a point in this country where a person with a history as these two people could be in their respective positions? One running for Commander in Chief and the other a mega-millionaire with a huge following."
The answer to how this happened, is simple.
The MSM spikes the truth about Rat candidates and pushes lies about GW like the forged documents with CBS.
The internet is still an infant in news and impacts a small % of Americans. Which is why we have to email our friends, relatives and others the truth as it is exposed on FR.
The only thing I can gather is that he has been disected and personally attacked and is a bit shell shocked. I respect him for coming out with the books, but with it come the democrap spin and Clintonian attacks which are pretty ruthless. This election is the most ugly that I have witnessed in years and the stakes are very high for our future as a nation as we know it.
After getting out of the hospital at Fort Benning, GA, I stayed around there a month or so, and then Uncle Sam sent me to Germany to patrol along the East-West German border. Man was it cold there in the winter of 1971-72. In February 1972, I came home on a short leave. I did not come at Christmas time because, as a single GI, I volunteered to pull duty around the company area, as Charge of Quarters (CQ as we call it in the Army) and pull guard duty. We were very short handed in Germany during this time. Our unit was suppose to have something like 150 troops assigned and we had less than 100. We were severely short lower ranking NCOs of which I was.
I pulled this duty to allow some of the married NCO's to spend time with their families and some to come home on leave to visit their families back here in the states. My First Sergeant approached me with the idea. Which I accepted because basically I was there anyway, and it was just a decent thing to do for some of the other guys.
So, I came home, visited my family and started back for Germany. On February 11, 1972, and folks, I will never forget this day as long as I live. I was in the Atlanta airport. You always have to fly through Atlanta back then when you were going ANYWHERE. It was the old saying, if you died and went to Heaven or hell, you went through Atlanta to get there. While waiting around to catch my flight up to New York so I could catch the overseas flight that night, I was approached by a guy in badly need of a bath and a haircut. He got with a couple of feet of me and hurled spit on my uniform and called me a baby killer!!! I was not yet 21 years old. I was totally shocked by the attack. I was more shocked by what he had called me. When I regained my senses seconds later I started to punch the guy when an Atlanta cop came between us. He had been only a few feet away and saw the attack! He told me, "Go on with your business Sarge, I will hand this bum." I reluctantly walked away. I wanted desperately to rip this guy's head off his shoulders and stick it where the sun don't shine. But, I did as the cop told me to do. I walked away, looking back over my shoulder to see the officer slam the guy up against a wall in "the position" to start patting him down. What resulted from that, I do not know. I like to dream at night that the guy had a close encounter with a cattle prod, but we all dream right?
It was only a few years later that I really learned where all this came from. I was young and dumb then. I did not read many NEWSpapers or watch TV news much. In Germany we basically had AFN to watch or Stars and Stripes to read. I never saw anything about a former Navy lieutenant named John Kerry. I had heard about the Vietnam Veterans Against the War. I did not know much about them. I suspected they were kind of a veterans group for Vietnam Vets to come to for support concerning the war. I had heard of the bad memories that some vets had from the war, though I did not suffer any of those.
Many years later, I learned that Kerry was the mouth piece of the organization and Jane Fonda was a loyal subject of he and he of hers. I hated Fonda for her anti-war crap and going to North Vietnam supporting the communists.
The more I knew of Kerry, the more I hated the punk. I have hated his sorry @$$ for many, many years. I have heard some vets say if he would apologize, they would forgive him. I am not among those vets. I will never forgive John Kerry for what he did to we Vietnam vets. No apology would be sincere in my opinion. It would be for political gain only. He would not mean it. Pure political gain would be the only reason he would do it. And I ain't holding my breath for that to happen.
I would not vote for John Kerry if he were running against Satan himself. At least I know what Satan stands for. I can't say that about Kerry, accept I know he stands for a weaker America, a weaker military, big government, huge tax increases, huge government spending to buy votes. I fully believe in my heart of hearts that John Kerry is a socialist and a communist. I believe he was a communist when he went to Paris to visit the North Vietnamese delegation. I believe he fully supported them and agreed to support them there. I believe he agreed to continue his anti-war work at home. I firmly believe Kerry cost American lives in Vietnam. I firmly believe his anti-war crap caused the POWs to suffer more.
No amount of apologies, sincere or not, will make me quit hating John Kerry. He is a pig. He is scum. And, I hate the SOB with all my red, white and blue heart!

I hope that the coming victory of President Bush, over this treasonous violation of ethics that is John Kerry, is the parade that you rightly deserved, but never received, when you came home.

Too bad you couldn't put that hippie type away for good!! Thank You for your service to our country. Hopefully, you Vietnam Vets will get those parades that you all deserve..Take care and keep the faith and let's keep the White House from a Kerry occupation in November!!!

Thanks Brother. I don't regret one minute that I served, nor one minute humping in the Central Highlands. I griped as all grunts did when we were worn out, tired, beat down, beat up, wet, and dirty, but I never lost faith in my fellow ground pounders. I never spoke mean, dirty or rude of them in later life. We all wanted to survive. But, what John Kerry did when he came home was just wrong, plain, and deadly, wrong. I can never forgive him for that. Never.
In 1971 John Kerry had the microphone and a national audience, today the Vets have the microphone and the national audience and it's Kerry's turn to feel the heat.
