Lucy Ramirez = Mary Mapes?
Mapes lives in Texas. According to the Seattle press she's a flaming liberal and hates Bush. She's been chasing the same dead-end story about Bush's service for 5 years. She wanted an even bigger story than Abu Ghraib. She's been in contact with Burkett for... 18 months? She may have seen him as even more vulnerable and gullible than her boss, "Danny Boy".
IF she promised Burkett she could hook him up with the top level people of the DNC (like Cleland)... that maybe he'd fax her back some "memos" she'd have delivered to him at a livestock show?

The Houston Livestock Show took place before Mapes got the Abu Ghraib photos.
If there ever was a Lucy Ramirez, which is doubtful, it wasn't Mary Mapes. Mapes has her own problems, though.
