Crescent Capital Investments, Inc. is a private equity investment firm that seeks to acquire significant equity interests in successful growth companies. Crescent looks for companies that have innovative products or services, leading market positions, and solid management teams with vision and the desire to win. With a shared strategic vision, Crescent works with these professionals toward achieving specific business and financial goals.

We have the financial resources and the willingness to invest more than $100 million in equity capital in a single transaction. Crescent is also highly committed to supporting existing portfolio companies. That means we can supply additional funds after the acquisition if needed to take advantage of additional growth opportunities or acquisitions.

Our commitment extends beyond financing. Crescent identifies strong, experienced management, and then works closely with them to establish a clearly defined business strategy for creating equity value. Crescent monitors the investment at the board level, working creatively and constructively with management to address the needs of the business. We believe in providing management with attractive equity incentives and we tailor a conservative capital structure that fosters growth and profitability.

Crescent can move quickly to structure transactions that meet the specific goals of the seller. This includes objectives with respect to liquidity, ongoing management, tax planning, and confidentiality. Current and past investments span a broad range of industries including consumer products, manufacturing, health care information technology, specialty retailing, telecommunications software, and technology-enabled products.

Founded in 1997, Crescent is the U.S. private equity arm of First Islamic Investment Bank E.C. First Islamic is an innovative Islamic investment bank, headquartered in Bahrain, with assets of over $500 million. First Islamic's 100 shareholders include some of the most prominent individuals, families, and institutions in the Middle East, who together control liquid funds in excess of $100 billion. The Bank arranges the capital needed for a transaction and then privately places the investment with its shareholders and other investors in the Middle East. First Islamic maintains voting control of, and a significant ownership interest in, each of the investments it arranges. First Islamic and Crescent professionals also invest personally in the Bank's private equity transactions. The Bank's other lines of business are real estate and asset management.

Social responsibility
All of our investments must adhere to Islamic principles and codes of conduct. Similar to a "green fund", Crescent does not invest in certain industries, such as those involving gambling or alcohol. We are also generally restricted from participating in most financial services businesses. Crescent is free to invest in other industries with solid companies.

It is inconceivable that any western company does not charge usury, therefore it is all Muslim blasphemy.

I guess people may wish to consider where the profits from products they purchase may go. I am not advocating boycot, just caution. I know very little about this company but according to boycottwatch.org

Information presented to us indicates that a principal in the First Islamic Investment Bank is a board member of a radical Islamic organization that teaches hate and has direct ties to terrorism, if not a direct supporter or terrorist organizations.

That's a product I use, and thus can choose not to use.

That may be a wise choice:

Is America’s food supply safe from terrorist attacks?

Well, even more to the point IMO, the international oil companies may not be Muslim owned, but they sure are making Muslims rich, with our help. I seriesly doubt that there would be an Islamic terrorist problem, except for the wealth that Western dependence on Muslim oil brings to that barbaric society.

So what? Dont you think we have companies owned by atheists, Christians and Jews and maybe a few Hindus? Get a grip. Remember freedom of religion. It doesnt just protect Christians. The church that I and GW Bush belong to probably funnels a lot more money to socialist organizations than any of these companies funnel to terrorists.
