Some say rehashing Vietnam has no place in this campaign. But, as this incident shows, liberal Vietnam attitudes never really went away, and now they're back in spades.

And this time, they need to be answered in kind ten times over. If I witness this, I'll be in the fray. Nobody spits on or touches a US soldier in my presence without getting their butt kicked. Period.

You're 100% correct and it is Vietnam redux because in Kerry's mind it is ALWAYS 1968.

Take any Kerry speech and for every mention of Iraq substitute Vietnam and it's like a love-in, groovy.
