Some say rehashing Vietnam has no place in this campaign. But, as this incident shows, liberal Vietnam attitudes never really went away, and now they're back in spades.

If I witness this, I'll be in the fray. Nobody spits on or touches a US soldier in my presence without getting their butt kicked. Period.

You're 100% correct and it is Vietnam redux because in Kerry's mind it is ALWAYS 1968.
Take any Kerry speech and for every mention of Iraq substitute Vietnam and it's like a love-in, groovy.
