MCAULIFFE: WILL GOP ANSWER IF THEY KNOW WHETHER STONE, OTHERS HAD INVOLVEMENT WITH CBS DOCUMENTS?
Washington, D.C. - In response to false Republican accusations regarding the CBS documents, Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe issued this statement:
In todays New York Post, Roger Stone, who became associated with political dirty tricks while working for Nixon, refused to deny that he was the source the CBS documents.
Will Ed Gillespie or the White House admit today what they know about Mr. Stones relationship with these forged documents? Will they unequivocally rule out Mr. Stones involvement? Or for that matter, others with a known history of dirty tricks, such as Karl Rove or Ralph Reed?
Paid for and authorized by the Democratic National Committee, www.democrats.org . This communication is not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee
Ditto your #180. I've cut a few people out of my life because they are irreversably stupid when it comes to politics and national security and there's no sense hanging with people like that.
Terry was using the Republican Dirty Trick theme from the get go, while the rest of the Rats were still defending the docs as genuine. How did he know they were phony? Had he seen them before? I think the Terry and his henchmen saw these docs, but declined to use them out of suspicion they were frauds. They passed them on to their pals at CBS for further vetting, but moron Dan ran with it post haste.
I think it's stupid.
Until today this stuff was strictly looked upon as DUmmie paranoia. But now the DNC has picked up on it. Yes, KARL ROVE forged those papers in a devious Rovian plot.
As far as I know the only connection between Stone and the memos is that he met Sharpton in Texas as the same time that the memos were surfacing. In other words, no connection.
I have no idea - it looks like it came from McAwful. But, as my post probably indicates, the one thing I always remember about Stone is how red-faced smoking-ears furious he was about ol' Billy putting the move on his wife. She was quite attractive.
Hey, Terry! I refuse to deny that I'm the source, OK?
Does anybody believe that if Burkett or Dan Rather or both got the memos from a Republican operative, they would shield the guy for even one second?
I mean, even CBS's vaunted journalistic ethics has a limit.
In a related story, Hot Tobasco, long time member of the conservative right-wing website FreeRepublic has also failed to deny that maybe he was the source of the CBS documents.
Upon further questioning, Hot Tobasco, who sports a "Viva Bush" bumper sticker on the back of his Del Sol, did admit to flipping the bird and cussing out a Dodge Ram pickup that tried to run him off the road 2 weeks ago. Sources close to the DNC deny any affiliation to the Kerry/Edwards sticker sporting pickup but vowed that should Mr. Tobasco ever run for the presidency, his violent actions will be uncovered and displayed for all of America to see.....In essence, his potential political career has just come to a screeching halt!
UGH! A little warning would have helped. Now I'm sick.
They were all talking about saying good bye to all the Progressive reforms and going back to the ownership society and how terrible it would be.
I deny that I refuse to deny that I am the source of the memos!
Before or after you deny the denial?
At some point Bush will simply accept McAwful's demand for an investigation and give him one, by the FBI.
This should be in Political Humor.
Are you sure this isn't a satire? If this is for real the Dems have totally lost their marbles.
Well, the Dems have really lost it.
I just couldn't believe that this is for real, but there it is, right on the DNC website.

I confess, I wrote them. Me. Just me, nobody helped. Really, it was me. I swear.
"Ditto your #180. I've cut a few people out of my life because they are irreversably stupid when it comes to politics and national security and there's no sense hanging with people like that.'
You will find out as you get older, you realize that you just don't have time to waste with stupid, insane and mean people. So you cut them out of your life.
When they endanger our National Security as you noted, I have no need for them anymore in my life.
It was most definitely in yesterday's print edition -- but it's not an editorial. It's the last item in a column by Fredric U. Dicker, who is the Post's Albany/state politics bureau chief.
I deny to refuse to deny that I ever denied to you that I denied I am the denied source of the memos that were denied.
This press release seems cribbed from a Goebbels radio broadcast from Der Bunker.
