1,100 gather at hotel here to salute U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette ^ | Tuesday, September 21, 2004 | Jeffrey Cohan

Never mind that Pennsylvanians have elected Arlen Specter to the U.S. Senate a state-record four times.

The septuagenarian senator still hadn't received enough adulation, in the opinion of Elsie Hillman, Pittsburgh's Republican matriarch.

"The fact of the matter is nobody has ever told Arlen that they've really appreciated what he's done," she said.

Hillman took care of that yesterday, throwing a luncheon for Specter that drew 1,100 to the Omni William Penn, Downtown.

I think there's a reason for that........

I really really wish the challenger would have won the GOP primary, but at least this is a very safe Republican seat.

LOL!

I first thought the title was 1,100 gather at hotel here to lynch U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter. Well, a fellow can dream, can't he?

Haggis? Maybe Lutefisk? Either one would be enough to make a person run screaming from the dining table.

Heck, we couldn't even GIVE it away if we wanted to. The incumbents won't let us.

Arlen Specter is one of the biggest reasons many conservatives are questioning the GOP's commitment. Followed closely by a RINO Gov in NY; a RINO former mayor from NYC; a RINO Gov in Calf; a RINO Gov in Mass; a RINO Senator in AZ, a pro-gay marriage quasi-RINO VP and don't get me started on the RINO nominees on the bench.
The list just keeps getting longer.

Elsie Hillman may be the most pro-abort person in the country.

Senator Arlen Spector is a good example of what happens to our political system when the people continue to over look the lack of ethics and morals of their elected officials. They should demand better. For that fact, we all should.

So...basically anyone to the left of you would be classified as a RINO, right?

RINO has got to be one of the most-abused terms on Free Republic as you've definitely shown in your post.
