This needs to be the focal point of the next few weeks. Kerry can not be allowed to speak until he answers this question and cleans house.

These are the documents Sandy Burger stuffed down his pants and stole from the Archives...

April. Seems to me this is when John Kerry began hammering louder and more vehemently upon his background as a Viet Nam Vet, too. It certainly, to me, explains why he focused his convention time upon "reporting for duty".

Well, this could be a good chance for CBS to do some accurate reporting. They already know most of the details, so the investigation would be pretty small.

Maybe you have stumbled onto the key to John Kerry's campaign appearances.

It is not even October and it would be imposible at this point to find a dozen people who could believe John Kerry knows anything about anything.

Hell, I'm still waiting for him to answer the Swift vet's charges. Good thing I'm not holding my breath til he does.

I don't think Kerry & Co knew about the docs. I think they had the docs created hunted down the docs to give credence to the lies that they have been spewing for months. With all the documented claims by the Swifties, K & Co had to come up with something. Since there was no dirt, they created found some.

I question the timing of this new evidence. I find it very suspect... /sarcasm

This needs to be taken up by a major organization who can develop a campaign, run ads, motivate reporters to ask questions, etc. etc. Any suggestions? Maybe a new 527 group?

Every effort must be brought to bear to press Kerry to answer what did he know and when did he know it.

That depends on which day you ask him.

Shalom.

Does anyone remember when Terry McAuliffe started using the "AWOL" term out of nowhere? Also the Tom Harkin "Bush lied" tirade the day after the 60 Minutes II airing of the "memos" and, of course, lest us not forget the Operation Fortunate Son ad campaign by the DNC that immediately started airing. It must be my imagination, Mr. Lockhart.

Mounting evidence now suggesting that the Kerry goons/DNC had the docs created after the story formulated that there were at one time, documents that reflected on GWBs NatGaurd record....and it makes sense...these maggots were so desperate to believe that the "charges" were true, and that there were at one time, real documents, they had the forgeries made.

Talk about criminal desperation. This is what CBS (et al) are covering up, in my estimation. Every day, more evidence hits the street that points to this exact scenario. The DNC, especially McAwful, all the way into the Kerry camp, were in on it. Heck, the Kerry camp was citing documents clear back in April when they were all over GWB, trying to attack his record then.

What did they know - Rather, Lockhart, Cleland et al - and when did they know it?

Demand an answer.

DNC had issued talking points so when the CBS report hit on September 8th that they would all hit the beach in a coordinated attack.

Interesting observation. The only DNC "talking point" I saw was from Terry McAwful saying that the memos came from Karl Rove. Was this repeated from other DNC surrogates or were there other "talking points" spewed...if so what were they?

It would certainly prove a connection with CBS and the DNC if we had the date/time and who said what in unison after the first CBS broadcast.

I have long contended that the government is hopelessly entangled in campaign regulation already; Rathergate just provides one more example.

Fundamentally the First Amendment allows journalists to have an agenda, and in the early days of the Republic Hamilton and Jefferson fought their political battles by sponsoring newspapers to publish their perspectives. Journalism was politics, straight up. Conventional wisdom has it that that was a scandal. It was not, and is not.

What is a scandal is when the government makes "some animals more equal than others." The FCC does that by licensing particular broadcasters in particular locations at particular frequencies and power levels "in the public interest."

That would have been recognized as patently absurd in the founding era. The reason it was so easily adopted in the twentieth century is that by then mass-market journalism was playing get-along-and-go-along, with journalists pretending to be objective and viciously flaming those who did not go along.

Why Broadcast Journalism is
< Unnecessary and Illegitimate

I'm sure Lockhart will agree to release his telephone records to clear this little matter up.
