I just don't understand why we haven't flushed out these terrorist cells over there. Just announce to all legitimate people in the are that they should leave, and then hurl a daisy cutter or three at the area.

of "good" Iraqis . . .
That's not true. The war was started here by the mosques who gave shelter to the 9/11 terrorists. Muslims aren't welcome here anymore. We need to let them know it. My grandparents' generation knew how to handle situations like this.
I was pleased to hear on the NY Times radio news this morning, that they were calling this group a "death cult" and Zarqawi a "murderer". Even the terrorist-sympathizing lefty media is beginning to get fed up.

The main problem here (and as well with the entire Iraq situation) is the difficulty/impossibility to distinguish between "innocent" iraqi civilians and the terrorists. If you make an announcement that you are going to flatten a city, terrorists would leave as well.
Once the city has been flattened, very few terrorists would be killed and a whole city of "innocent" iraqis would now be against the US military.
If you dont make an announcement and kill large number of iraqi citizens, as well as some terrorists, you also lose iraqi support.
So, how do US forces kill the terrorists, without making a situation in iraq in which you create more resistance (terrorism)? That seems to be the major difficulty we are facing in iraq.
