Tawhid wa Jihad, Zarqawi's group, announces "slaughter" of second American hostage

Posted on 09/21/2004 11:03:11 AM PDT by StillProud2BeFree

A message posted moments ago on the Ansar message board announced the murder of American hostage Jack Hensley. The posting was made by the same individual who posted yesterday's announcement of Armstrong's murder, and who has a history of posting announcements from Zarqawi's Tawhid wa Jihad group.

The announcement indicated that photos and a video would be forthcoming shortly.

As long as the talkers are allowed to control the military this is going to keep happening.

You don't talk to a rabid dog.

You either run like hell or kill it and any other animal that has had contact with it as quickly as you can to keep the madness from spreading. There ain't no reasoning with it and their ain't no other cure.

I haven't watched the latest one, since I think 2 is more then enough for me. It doesn't matter to me what terrorists want me to do. My guess it is to get scared and hide/run. But effect is very different, after watching it I just feel emptiness and rage deep inside.

We all want to believe in our civilization and humanity. But this appeals to something much deeper in us. Animal rage. I think people need to feel and confront it. We should stopped being shocked by this. This is the reality of the war we are involved in. There is no dignity or morality to be found anywhere here, we should just kill them or they will kill us.

In Vietnam America was shocked by images of civilian casualties. After watching this I don't care they doze kids of the people who did it with gasoline and light them up.

Remember the famous photo of the South Vietnamese general executing some VC prisoner with a shot to the head? If at the time the video was available of what was done to his friend's family, I dont think anyone would blame him for doing it.

The gambit is labeled "Checkmate", because it allows the "king" (Qa'aba) to remain on the board, albeit with few other pieces.

The alternatives are to dump the board or to concede.

They're designed to spread and recruit more terrorists. That is their purpose. We should not facilitate that purpose.

You're thinking like them. Perhaps the larger purpose of the videos is to further embolden the West's resolve against such butchery.

There seems to be a lot of back and forth about whether or not the videos should be watched. While it is true that it is giving the terrorists the reaction that they want, it is also true that it can serve as a good lesson to those who still think we are not dealing with crazies. In my opinion, it is justifiable to watch it, should you choose to. Some of us simply do not have the stomach nor the coping skills for it. For me, seeing watch they show on the newscasts is enough, my imagination fills in the reprehensible blanks.

"They're designed to spread and recruit more terrorists. That is their purpose. We should not facilitate that purpose."

I disagree. They are designed to instill paralyzing fear in a populace that they are intent on controlling. It's an ancient technique. It will not serve the ends to recruit more terrorists, except when the acts are committed to force recruitment, as was done in VN. The magnitude of the heinousness increases with the resistance of the population to forced control.

In Iraq, the threat that this sort of thing would befall Iraqi govm't troops if they didn't assist the terrorists, is how these guys were captured. It should also be noted, that these contractors are not allowed to mount an effective defense themselves.

The main target of the acts is the civilian populations of the countries opposing them. The ones that have already surrendered are already fearful of them.

"Apparently, the guard that was assigned to the house "never showed up". It's possible the terrorists got a hold of him at some earlier point in time, likely never to be seen again."

Great point. The guard was considered an infidel by guarding the Americans. If a Islamist took a sh*t in an American toilet, that turd would then become an infidel.

"History will take care of the rest. It always does. After 9/11, US President George Bush called Islam a religion of peace, and he's apologized to the Arabs for the recent prisoner abuses. Israel must act, and then let him say that Judaism is a religion of peace."

Al-Mahdi Army belongs to the strict Shia religious cleric, Muqtada Al-Sadr, and trains its members in camps inside Iran. He also mentioned the entrance of Shia fighters from Lebanon to Iraq dressed as religious studies students. These fighters then join Al-Madi Army under the supervision of Emad Mughania. To: Khaosai

I am not a soldier so I try to be careful about too much arm-chair warrior comments. What I do know that this war is different then in the past. A stage of having to identify who the enemy really is and where he is has been introduced.

I think we are just firmly getting a grip on this fact and as you mentioned, Khaosai, the enemy is now facing systematic destruction. We may be in the modern age of warfare, but it takes time to liberate an country and then eliminate the remaining terrorists. I would say we are doing just fine.

Thank you for your service, my American brother. I support you risking your life daily for our way of life and our mutual famalies. May you shoot straight and make them pay for declaring war on us.

"destroy the holy mosque in Medina. It is the closest to Israel, and not as important as Mecca's."

"Wrong target. This is NOT the Borg Cube. The Borg Cube is in Mecca and it must be destroyed."

The above is my favorite quote of the day and made me laugh hard. Thank you. We laugh because it is funny and we laugh because it is true.

Yes! These contractors, as well as other Westerners working in Iraq, should be well armed and carry GPS systems. The same goes for our American soldiers. And I believe we are still missing an American soldier in Iraq, whom I pray for frequently. I want him to know he has not been forgotten.

If these terrorists held me captive, I'd rather die in a fight by bullets or whatever, than be beheaded. I believe these people are pure evil and frankly, I hate them beyond belief.

I think the purpose of the video is to scare away American workers who are rebuilding the infrastructure of Iraqi. Once the infrastructure is done, free Iraqis will fight on their own to preserve it. The terrorists want to have one of their own sicko mullah powerheads, worse then Saddam in Iraqi, so they can have a new base of operations.

The more they slow the rebuilding process and cause turmoil, the better chance a terrorist regime like Iran can begin installing mullahs instead of democracy. Now that we are in, we must win.

I have watched a couple of the videos and almost decided to never watch another on. However, what I realized is that watching them means it makes it more of a reality that we are at war and will be for a good long-time.

When I see an American brother get his friggin head sawed off, it makes me want to follow through with destroying this evil whatever the cost may be.

" don't think that would work. There is an evil at work here that hates all humankind and doesn't know the meaning of love. They're already doing this to their own people!"

You're probably right.

Has to be Satan himself.

Wonder when he will make his presence known?

No, I will not watch because I can't stand to watch the suffering, the torture. I have never been inclined to watch slash movies even having to walk out on them. They are just not fun for me to watch.

On this, I won't watch for the reasons I stated - it is exactly what the terrorists want - to brag about their assault on an American. It is not allowing the man any dignity in his death and it is more torture for the family knowing that people are watching a film showing their loved one getting his head sawed off.

Note that the terrorist increase the torture on on each killing. Why? To gross us out ever more each time with their cruelty ability.

What I do resent are those in the world that will be watching it out of fascination, snuff film addicts in hiding, and those who will become used to these horrors and become desensitized to the horror. If we see something often enough - we accept it as the norm.

Therefore - I chose NO - NEVER and I HATE THE ONES THAT ARE SO DEVOID OF A HUMAN BRAIN OR SOUL THAT COULD EVEN THINK OF DOING SUCH A THING TO A FELLOW HUMAN.

arab muslim terrorists decapitate yet another screaming american whilst praying to the demonic god allah.

They then publish the video.

That means is must be ...Tuesday. Or Wednesday... or

You had better get used to the fact that the administration ISN'T going to respond. Not yesterday when it happened. Not today when it happened.

muslim immigration to the US continues however.

Are you beginning to see a pattern?

How about the president calling for ANOTHER arab muslim terror state today in the land of Israel as a reward for arab muslim terror against Jews?

Is a picture emerging?

How about arab & muslim 'civil rights' groups operating here freely while supporting jihad, hamas, and sharia?

Clear yet?

How about the US thumping its chest in Fallujah and Najaf:"overwhelming response" at "a time of our choosing" followed by subsequent withdrawals.

How many more Americans must die at the hands of muslims before the government acts appropriately?
Will the government ever act or will we just hear more RoP crap as we slowly die?
Or will it be up to the people to act?
