Last night we noticed our neighbors across the street putting up Christmas lights. This drew our attention and then we saw the big sign on their garage:
Chris, 1/16 INF Div. This is how my brother is serving now in the Army. We cannot thank you, cyncooper, and everyone enough for this. This is so wonderful. Our mother called me in Al. to let me know about this. I have read them and cried for the last hour. I am so proud of my brother. He is a wonderful person and a great soldier. This is wonderful to see the support for these men and women over there. We thank you many, many times over again for all the support and everything. My father has wonderful neighbors. Thanks again.
And Brother, I Love you and We are so proud of you. I am glad you are home xoxoxo. love sis
THANK YOU and Welcome home!!!
Tell Chris that this aging warrior, his even older warrior father and the up and coming warrior, CholeraPrincess appreciate his service.
Welcome to Free Republic Angie.
I am thrilled that you found the messages and were so touched by them.
It is overwhelming, isn't it, the many many good people out there that love our country and support our troops---many of them vets themselves.
We are very proud of your brother and I was pleased as punch to shake his hand the other night.
BUMP!
God bless you. I am eight years old now, but when I grow up I want to be in the military, too.
We are so glad you are safely home and we thank you so much for your service to our country! You're among the best!!
Suffice to say he was *extremely brave*, took charge, did his job and we can all be very very proud of him.
Asking mods to delete my post #174 because my links that don't work make the thread too slow-loading.
Being a child of the '60s and knowing that what happened then must never happen again, I want to express my heartful thanks to you for the great things that you have done for our country (no, don't say it wasn't that much - it was). You are part of our greatest generaton, because you stepped to the forefront when you were needed.
I have no inspiring pictures or words of wisdom for you, just my thanks.
