I'm wondering if it's not going to be sooner. IIRC, the "trigger" for the September 11, 2001 attacks was the assasination of Massood. Given today's assasination of the Sheite clerics in Iraq (probably to ferment a civil war), I wonder if there isn't going to be more coming very soon. IIRC, Massood was quite influential--how important (compared to him) were the clerics killed today?

Massood was quite influential--how important (compared to him) were the clerics killed today? Massoud was George Washington to the NA. There is nothing close to him in Iraq today. Had Massoud lived the Afghan situation would probably be far more stable than it is today.
