I haven't started one of these before, but I thought a live discussion thread might be appropriate. Post away!
I can only take Natalie Merchant in one form; with 10,000 Maniacs doing that "unplugged" cover of Patti Smith's "Because The Night," one of the greatest singles of the '70s. The fiddle solo that replaced Springsteen's guitar solo (I don't care if the liner notes don't say it's him, IT'S HIM) were a stroke of genius. Merchant didn't really seem to know all the lyrics, but it worked anyway.
Couldn't stand to stick around that long....it was more entertaining looking at your profile page!!! Awesome!
>>>Dave: "So what would you do in Iraq?"
Kerry: "I can't tell you that."<<<
Did he finish that sentence with " because I would have to kill you"
??
Can't..gun owners are Republican
I don't normally watch Letterman or Leno. I only turned it on tonight to see what Kerry was saying. I never watch any of the programming on the regular networks. I don't watch television series, none of them, not even on the premium channels. I watch documentaries mostly from the History Channel and Discovery, watch Food Network and one night a week, I record programming on HGTV. Occasionally I'll watch a mystery or horror movie, but the rest of the time my TV's on Fox News.
Too late.
The bad news: He did.
The GOOD news:
Kerry gave one of the LAMEST 'Top Ten Lists' on record.
And he gave the deadest, woodenest, worst delivery of one, ever.
That is exactly what happened but fortunately he blew it. First when Dave tried to segway to the Top Ten List he said to Kerry "I notice you have something in your lap..." to which Lurch replied " yes it is something we set up with your people..". Talk about you comic timing.
Next he read the list without the obligatory mention of the number! Just ran through them all the way to the last one. What a hoser!
I'm not as up to date on Halliburton as most of you FReepers, could you explain why no-one else can do what Halliburton does or direct me to a site please. My roomie is asking and I just told him so far that they have a lot of experience and that Clinton gave them no bid contracts but other than that I do not know.
What is wrong with your state? You do realize that your people gave us this Anti-American basset hound pr*ck?
Thune was fabulous on Meet the Press yesterday going face to face with Tom Daschle and Tim Russert moderating.
He really stuck it to little Tommy.
Yeah, I don't watch CBS anymore. Dave is over the hill and not particularly amusing. I will never watch CBS under any circumstances ever again.
There wasn't any whistling or real cheering. Just polite clapping.
"Ya know, if it was that bad, then I think I'll tape it for the troops."
Put it on the firing range and everyone will qualify as expert.
good point. sure find someone. i dislike hagel more than mccain. hope find someone.
It's bs politics. Kerry wants a French company to do it. It is
demagoguery-- pure and simple. It's a non-issue.
They never mention that Halliburton has had 32 of its employees killed in Iraq.
87 million doesn't go that far when you're paying death benefits.
Y'know, I don't ever remember anyone on FR suggesting suicide if either Clinton, Gore, or Kerry was elected.
Maybe Michael Savage is right. Maybe liberalism IS a mental disorder.
I'm on the west coast. It hasn't aired yet, besides, I stopped watching Letterman years ago. He used to be edgy, now he just seems pained all the time.
What was the audience response to that crappy Top 10 list?
you must not understand nebraska and osborne. he could kill a puppy on tv and still win in a landslide. there is no canidate in america who is more of a lock than he is
>>I'd love to have a couple of beers with Clinton.
Might even get some action<<<
Are you trying to tell us that you would like to get Bill Clinton drunk so you can take advantage of him!!
SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol
