They just stated on Joe Scarborough that Joe Lockjaw will be fired from the campaign within 48 to 72 hours.
I don't think they will fire him - he'll quit first. Look for several other high profile folks to leave the campaign in the next few days.
This is the implosion of the Kerry campaign taking place before our eyes.
If Joe is an "unpaid" volunteer like the Kerry campaign says, why should he stick around for free and get pounded into the ground? He must be a paid staffer or he'd been outta there the night Rather broke the the story. Or....he could be just plain stupid. I think he stepped into a great big Texas cowpie and can't get the goo off his foot.
