My source familiar with discussions within CBS says that the discussions of "Dan falling on his sword" have been "muttered all over the place, but there is nothing solid - so far just "rumor and speculation." However, many staffers has been told to gather around 11 a.m. for an announcement of some sort.

From CBS: "We have examined all the documents thoroughly and have come to the conclusion that it's all Karl Rove's fault. Thank you and good day."
It's a modified, limited hangout. ;)
Will there be a public apology to our President? Will he expose the DNC/Kerry connection? If not, it really doesn't matter.
tick tock tick tock tick tock......oh, the irony......
Friend at FOXNews in DC has heard nothing concrete. Says there is a lots of "chatter" at CBS and in/out CBS, but that is to be expected.
No if only it were really true that Gunga Dan was going to take the fall for this today.
"Mistakes were made."
"We are deeply saddened..."
it's probably a meeting to tell them to shut up and quit gossiping.
This morning the ever clueless Bob Schieffer was on Imus and when asked about the NYT article said "Believe or not I didn't get my Times this morning."
Gotta use passive voice-- a fave of liberals.
cbs admits rather lied
Hey! Check out that guy back there! Whatta loser!
Five million to the first guy that wants to take the ball!
Oh, man. Here we go again. At what point is it moved to 12 then 1 then 2 then...
Another day of "Refresh".
"I know that this story is true. I believe that the witnesses and the documents are authentic. We wouldn't have gone to air if they would not have been (sic). There isn't going to be--there's no--what you're saying apology? I want to make clear to you, I want to make clear to you if I have not made clear to you, that this story is true..."
I heard this announcement was going to be to everyone, not just staff. I heard they are going to admit that the documents are most probably no legit. After that I have no idea what they'll say....probably that they still support the story and Dan Rather.
My bet is that Dan Rather WON'T fall on his sword. He'll have to be pushed out the door.
>it's probably a meeting to tell them to shut up and quit gossiping.
Worst thing they could do. They are talking to people who get paid to report high level gossip!
