Rather Lashes Out at Fox News Reporter

Embattled CBS anchorman Dan Rather lashed out on Saturday after he was challenged by a Fox News Channel reporter who asked him if he felt "duped" after airing forged documents about President Bush's military record.

Arriving at the Dallas, Texas, airport to further investigate the story that threatens to end his career, the CBS News anchor tried to keep his cool as he was spotted by other reporters, maintaining gamely, "It's good to be back in Dallas."

But according to the Web site Ratherbiased.com, when a reporter from the local Fox affiliate asked, "Do you feel like you've been duped?" the irritated anchor shot back: "Do you feel like you were duped – working for Fox like you do?"

" Maybe we should take up a collection for him."

I'll donate. I'll start saving my stool specimens for him.

all this just makes one wonder .. who is in charge at CBS? Anyone? Anyone?

Where is their management? Don't they have to answer to shareholders? Why did Viacom's chmn sell $12Million in shares? How can one old man who's already made his fortune and is about to retire (we can hope) have so much ower that they are all willing to go in the tank with him? I just don't get it.

I don't think Blather himself knew exactly what he was trying to say. He was just trying to zing the reporter and get in a tired old cheap shot at FOX News.

Ah, I see someone else noticed that supermarket ad. It has to be the mother of all brainless commercials ever foisted on the TV viewing public.

I don't know that this is typical of Newsmax. I didn't even notice Carl Limbacher was the source of this story until after my initial post.

I think it is, actually. I often see a headline on the Latest Posts page and can identify it as Newsmax before I open the thread.

I'll bet you're right. This one's so far from the truth that Newsmax must have no editorial screening at all.

BTW, who is the woman in the photo at the bottom of your homepage? She's a true beauty.

Now this could get real interesting! My bet it someone is going to take a real fall on these documents. Just for yuks, how 'bout Unca Dan is in Texas to make a deal? Say for instance he's going to make 'ol Burcky the fall guy but Burk knows a little bit more than Blather wants to admit to his fans (both of them). This looks to me like damage control to get all there ducks in a line. Why would SeeBS have to send RatherNot to Texas? In the past they have always sent someone else. I'll tell you the truth this looks to me like we're going to see and end to this soon and Burkette is not going to have to worry about retirement. Hell, I'm sure once Dan is done with him he will be more than willing to take one for the 'ol DNC and be mighty proud of it too! He's going to be a hero! He's going to save Rather’s credibility and keep SeeBS rating from going all the way to hell.

What do you ‘spose that will be worth $$$$$?

Only problem is this guy’s one lap short of finishing the race and it could really come back like the aroma of a two day old diaper that got pushed under the couch.

We’re not done with the comedy relief yet folks!

oops! posted this same comment on the wrong forum. Not trying to be repetitive honest!

All the best from your new "neatnick" admirer.

yea, well when your boss dumps 12 million dollars of his stock options, ya really don't have much support from the home office...ROFLMAO

Blather, the Klintoons, the Traitor, the Kennedys and the rest of the lefties should start a new political party and call themselves the Liars Party! LMAO

THE ARTICLE STATES: "But according to the Web site Ratherbiased.com, when a reporter from the local Fox affiliate asked, "Do you feel like you've been duped?" the irritated anchor shot back: "Do you feel like you were duped – working for Fox like you do?""

Since Blather surely KNOWS that Fox News Channel DOESN'T portray FORGED documents as truth like CBS does, Blather should KNOW the FNC reporter's answer is "No."

If so, then the strong implication is that Blather's answer is ALSO "No" to the FNC reporter's question of whether Blather felt duped (i.e. that he was NOT duped).

If Blather does not feel DUPED, then he must have INTENDED for the public to RELY on it.

Now, let me think for a moment...(1) Someone makes a FALSE claim, (2) regarding a MATERIAL fact, (3) and at the time the false claims were made, they either KNEW they were false or they made them recklessly without any knowledge of their truth as possitive assertions, (4) they INTEND for the listener to RELY on it, (5) the listener DOES RELY on it, and (6) they were DAMAGED by it...

Let's see now...I'm no lawyer, but that sure sounds like the DEFINITION OF FRAUD!!!

And (1) there were two or more persons who have pursued a common course of conduct, (2) acted in concert with, (3) aided and (4) abbetted and (5) conspired with one another (6) in furtherance of their common plan and scheme to defraud...

Hmm...I'm thinking...Yep!...That sure sounds like CONSPIRACY to COMMIT FRAUD!!!

Since the airwaves belong to the PUBLIC, that sure sounds to me like CRIMINAL CONDUCT may have been committed by CBS to attempt to alter the outcome of a FEDERAL ELECTION!!!!!

In my opinion, the FCC needs to IMMEDIATELY REMOVE CBS and Blather from the airwaves!!!
