NOTE: this is the 2nd in a series of challenges to Dan Rather. If he would do balanced reporting, perhaps he would not be seen as a laughable discredited partisan DemocRAT hack.
==============================================
No. 1 - Report on Steve Gardner, the dead child, and Kerry phony report
Dan:
John Kerry has told us hundreds, perhaps thousands of times that he is a war hero. Some of us ask, "To whom?"
There is an important story on which you should be reporting. I spoke a few months ago with Vietnam vet Bill Lupetti. Bill went to Vietnam earlier this year and visited the Vietnamese Communist War Remnants Museum (formerly known as the "War Crimes Museum") in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). He came back with photos and a report.
A photograph of John Kerry hangs in a room dedicated to the anti-war activists who helped the Vietnamese Communists win the Vietnam War. The photograph shows Senator Kerry being greeted by the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Comrade Do Muoi.
Yes, Dan, the Communist Vietnamese honor John Kerry, the war protestor, as a hero in their victory over the United States in the Vietnam War.
The North Vietnamese general in charge of the military campaign that finally drove the U.S. out of South Vietnam in 1975 credited a group led by Democratic presidential front-runner John Kerry with helping him achieve victory. In his 1985 memoir about the war, Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap wrote that if it weren't for organizations like Kerry's Vietnam Veterans Against the War, Hanoi would have surrendered to the U.S. the Vietnam War. The photograph shows Senator Kerry being greeted by the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Comrade Do Muoi.
Dan, this is why veterans have a problem with John Kerry. Is this worth a story? If you were a real journalist, it would be. We'll be waiting.
Don't hold your breath, Doug.
I think you guys know what to do.
doug,
good point but what I want Rather or anyone else to investigate is what "Lt" Kerry was doing meeting with communist reps from North Vietnam in Paris. You just can't go around doing that while you're still an active or reserve officer. I think it is this incident that is the reason behind Kerry's refusal to allow 'all' of his records-
The picture of Kerry is pretty well-known. I remember seeing it before in different publications but don't recall which ones. And after the Wall Within fiasco, other wise known as the first Rathergate, we were reminded once again of Dan's anti-Vietnam War bias. But I'll send an e-mail and we'll see what happens. I doubt that Rather will ever change from the arrogant SOB that he is, but someone else at CBS might listen.
That challenge is coming soon. :)
Empower our enemies; while undermining our Country and our Military while claiming a hero status. . .on a fraudulent, self-serving history.
And NOTHING will take the 'elite' Lib media there; to the truth of Kerry.
