D/FW is not too far away from where I live.
I would have loved to meet him at the gate...and... have a 'discussion' about his bias hit piece.
I would have also informed him that Texans are ashamed that RATher came out of Texas.
I wish you'd known too and would have followed him. He's got something up his crooked sleeve.
bttt
The worst part of Rather is that he thinks he is right and the world is wrong - Joe Stalin and Adolph Hitler were like that.
He might be giving his daughter "a ticket to ride" out of the country. Or.... are the Cowboys in town?
I'm suspecting he's here to meet with Mary Mapes, the producer of the memogate segment on 60 Minutes II.
Dan has some cajones to walk through DFW International. Folks applaud the military personnel who pass through the terminals. I can only imagine the kind of grief the decent people there would give to traitor Dan.
"ALSO- I am wondering what Rather is doing here. Is he in Texas to interview Burkett?"
Fox had someone on earlier this morning who said he was there to try to get Bill B. to go on camera and tell which docs are real and which are nt
I saw it earlier. Rather takes a shot at Fox News. He didn't seem to happy with the intrusion, but he was at least courteous.
I've seen it a couple of times. Rather was oh so polite, but he wouldn't answer any questions and took a pot shot at FOX.
splendid! 60 Minutes style "ambush" piece, camera and reporter walking along with Newsreader Rather until he retreats into a limo. It was GREAT to see him on that side of the lens!!!!!
Reporter asks Rather if he was duped! Ha!
reporters need to use watergate verbiage, like "stonewalling" "modified limited hangout" "twisting slowly in the wind" lol, lol!!!!
He learned the tricks of the trade through years of being a "gotcha!" artist.
He thanks the FOX newsman for his time while Rather walks briskly away. He tells the FOX reporter to "watch yourself, be careful" when they approach an automatic door.
Rather learned long ago that if they can film you losing your cool---you look like an mean idiot who has something to hide.
Rather managed to appear as a polite idiot who has something to hide.
I had heard about this, and got the distinct impression that this is the 60 Minutes program for this evening, another interview with Mr. Burkett.
Mr. Rather keeps making an ass of himself, the story about Bush, even if it were true ain't worth a spit. And the fact that it was proven to be phony, makes it worth even less.
Yet, Mr. Rather can't let it go.
Pitiful, and painful to watch Rather self immoliate like this.
Someone mentioned it on FR, I think. That might even be how Fox found out.
I'm ashamed too that Rather is from Texas.
I saw it and it was totally lame. The reporter had no idea what the story was, asking only if Dan was duped. Fine, if the reporter doesn't know anything, at least his producer could have come up with a list of questions to pepper Dan with on the way to the car. No time for that? Go over the list with the reporter on his cell phone on the way to the airport! But no...nothing...a totally wasted opportunity. Lamestream media at it's finest.
he acted like he was in that commerical "Thank You"... HEY YOU LOOK PREGNANT?? WHAT IM NOT PREGNANT WHAT DO YOU MEAN? "thank you" HAHAHAHAHAHAAHHA
Getting this on tape would be the icing on the cake. And yet, I don't think we're done yet.
