All two of the blue states......tee hee. Ought to be a very short segment.
IIRC, it was Bush that imposed trade practices to give steel makers some breathing room, much to the chagrin of the free-traders.
"Please replace O'Reilly with Brit Hume."
lol it was a play on O'reilly's 'lie interview' with rather from awhile back. That was the only reason I used him.
Today's Las Vegas Review Journal shows W up by 5, 50% to sKerry's 45%. They also endorsed W for president last week.
Unfortunately, they also show Filibuster Reed in front by 20 points, 54% to Richard Ziser's 34%. Ziser's HUGH problems are name recognition and lack of funds. 54% of people DON'T KNOW HIS NAME. Not good when you're running for Senate!
I wish the President would come out to Vegas and hold a rally where the public could get in. The last 2 times he's been here have been private. He needs to get Ziser up there on stage with him, in front of the cameras.
From my fingers to God's ear...
And the steel workers feel that they gained from that breathing room and support Bush.
Ten years later they were still there.
The part I watched on Mathews show was actually pretty harsh on Kerry. Talked about how Kerry was loosing women voters. All the pannel agreed and gave reasons. They even showed the "Labert field" quip and Bush and Cheney mocking it. I think it was Joe Klein that said "Rather needs to resign" (don't hold me to that, but it was some prominent media figure and Joe Klein was there)
Mathews said, "well thats a pronouncement, anybody else agree?" and the pannel kinda muttered and all spoke at once saying things like, "well not yet", "I dont' know" "maybe" etc...
I was surprised to see favorable coverage of Bush in this show so I thought I'd share it. Only saw the last 10 min tho...
That would be Abourezk [sp]. I went to law school with his kid. Kid is every bit as smarmy as Dasshole. Flaming bleeding heart lib with indian causes paramount to reality.
Larry Sabato coming up on Fox with Brian Williams.
"condensation"
He has "short mans syndrome". Some believe it arises from having a short male member.
she must not listen to Kerry much then....all he does is say "I have 4 words for them" "I have 2 words for them" .. I have 5 words for him... "SHUT UP" .. see I can count as good as he can hahahahaha
I'm hoping it's LOTS of attention to his meetings with the enemy in Paris.
I think Brit is more loyal than that.
I'm beginning to wonder what has taken the energy from Brit.
Your lips to god's ear.. I would take that trade!
"I'm beginning to wonder what has taken the energy from Brit"
How so?
Thanks for getting all this on the record in one concise post. Good job.
Lindsey Graham is tough on CNN with Wolf. "Kerry's vision is wrong." he says. ( Too bad I missed his tough criticism of Senator Kerry, but did hear Graham say, "how chilling it must be for the Iraqis fighting for their independence", to hear Kerry's criticism.
Senator Levin, in rebuttal, calls "the administration stubborn, not even listening to it's own intelligence. This administration still paints a rosy picture", Levin says.
1.028 US Troops killed. Graham says "bottom line, it will get worse before it gets better, I agree we've made some mistakes, you got 2 competing forces, terrorists, who want to destroy democracy, you got pro democracy forces getting killed. If we stand behind pro democracy forces, they will win", says Graham.
Blitzer says "I don't see an exit strategy, do you senator Graham". "Yes, I do" Graham says, "we do need more troops, this is just like WW 2, we're in it for the duration, and we're there till there is a democracy."
Levin says, " We are very pragmatic people, we should change directions, but the administration is unwilling, stubborness is not a strategy...the only thing I see is this administration doing is trying to hang in there till after the Nov election. The president is locked into his own rhetoric.", says Levin. Bllitzer forces Levin to give an option to his criticism. Levin says, "you gonna force me to come up with a strategy now?". humma humma Levin says, well "we got to force their police to control their own terrorists," Levin says "Bush doesn't have a strategy. "We have to involve other countries who aren't involved now...other moslem countries come in to help."
Graham shoots one outta the park, "We are training their police, and everytime terrorists kill Iraqis training to be police, we have more volunteering to do that job. we do have other moslem countries helping, Iraqi police are training in Jordan, I've been there and seen them, and we are involving other countries as well".

Congressman Christopher Cox on his recommendation to have congress investigate CBS. "My recommendation was to have a staff investigation, not a congressional hearing, let me clear that up. We have the same interest here as we did in hearings about the media coverage of the 2000 elections. But the staff comes first, and if it becomes established that the memos were forgeries, we need to know how government documents were forged."
Cox adds, "I think all we know at this point is that CBS at a minimum is that they wanted to get the story out so bad they were negligent in checking their sources".
congressman Rangle says, " I think it's frightening to think about congressional staff investigate the media, the congress should stay a million miles away from it...the media will establish whether a crime was committed. I gotta son who opted to go to the Marines, KErry opted to go to Viet Nam. blah blah.
Rangle says, "whats wrong with Cox's recommendation is that it intimidates every media outlet. And anyway, CBS says they will investigate, and the other media is already investigating. NO ONE HAS DISPUTED THE SUBSTANCE OF THE MEMOs. (of course Rangle got in the talking points.
Cox refuses to let Rangle get away with saying Bush didn't do his duty. GOOD FOR COX!!
Rangle won't let it drop, goes on and on about Bush refusing to take his physical, Cox says Bush flew more hours than many who did go to Viet Nam. Cox does not back down!!!
Rangle sounds silly now, "Kerry didn't run off to Canada".
