Not so. GWB has said that there are many questions about the documents and Laura has said that the documents are probably forgeries.
We can tell wrong from right and McPain is wrong most of the time.
What happened to those supporters?
McCain's main support came, not from Republicans, but from those "independent" darlings (aka democrats who are embarrassed of their party).
As for the pubbies who supported McCain, I think they were mostly made up of those who still nurse an unquenchable desire for a Republican who is popular with the media....McCain's love affair with the media would've lasted only until he started implementing pubbie policies.
"New Mexico..tied..."
A tie at this late date is a good sign.
I think we can pick up NM
We only lost it last time by a few hundred votes
I doubt Kerry will get out that many votes.
"But does there seem to be one or the other winning the debate?"
I confess I have never known how to evaluate debates in terms of winning or losing. However, I will say that I think Daschle is making a mistake with his chuckling and laughing at Thune's responses. I comes off very badly. Thune is keeping his cool and is coming off as adult and well informed.
Ok, thanks.
When is McCain up for reelection? This year, 2004.
John McCain=Rat Alert, big time.
Bill Kristol: Kerry's message on Iraq will be: "I'll get us out".
I could puke, when Tiny Tom keeps refering to Thune as "follower", and everyone knows Daschle's an Obstructor, not a Leader
Juan Williams: Halliburton will come back as a big issue tied to VP Cheney.
"Who do you think is winning the debate between Daschle and Thune"
I think up to this point, Thune has done well pointing out Daschles' SD ads(pro Bush) vs. Washington Daschle(anti-Bush). He looks extrememly professional and well-spoken. Russert hit him with a 2002 ad with Thune mentioning Hussein on the verge of nukes, asking if it was a scare tactic. Thune handled it well. Surprised this guy lost last time.
Brit/Mara...advice to Kerry featured, big speech on Iraq planned...Kristol says new message is Iraq is worse than Vietnam...could be somewhat effective...Even Juan says it can't be have to get out...bringing up Halliburton, cost, Bin Ladin.
Brit says that Kerry still has a hurdle to climb because people don't believe Kerry--especially on Iraq.
Oh, boy, we're really in trouble now.
Slight correction - McCain's media darlingship would have lasted only until he became the Republican nominee. They would have "sadly" found many reasons why Algore should win over McCain, and turned on a dime against him.
