Has it been determined that Burkett offered "the same information" to Cleland, or simply that he offered "some" information? I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same set of memos, but we should be careful about asserting things before they have been definitely established. At this point it looks likely that he's the one who faxed the memos from Abilene, but I don't think we have proof yet.
True. Let the story play itself out.
Is there anyone in the Abilene area who can fax a test document from that Kinko's? It's important to consider the possibility that Burkett faxed something from there (something other than these memos) and CBS, after discovering this, forged a timestamp on its memos to frame Burkett. But I would expect an analysis of a test fax from that Kinko's might suggest that it was used on a 'quality original' or a 'faxed original', or not used at all. Of course, it might prove inconclusive, but there are some interesting traits of the faxes which could suggest that the first generation fax was or was not produced with certain equipment.
