"Still in relative infancy, the blogosphere - that new galaxy within the journalism universe wherein citizen journalists known as bloggers (short for keepers of Web logs) chat among themselves through mutual links and commentary - has defined itself in large part as a vehicle for challenging the mainstream media (MSM)."

You FR guys are so nice for welcoming me to the FR community (I just posted the articles by William F. Buckley, Jr. and W. Thomas Smith, Jr.) that I decided to post another great article. It's about bloggers by Kathleen Parker. I'm new here so I might make a mistake so just let me know. See you in a day or two. SuzyQ2

Welcome to FR. Enjoy your stay.

But I don't think this is HUGH enough to qualify as breaking news.

Glad to have you aboard Suzy. Don't take this personally, most of us has made the same mistake in the past (including me), but I have to agree with bogey. This article, good, as it may be, is not exactly "Breaking News". Breakin News is pretty much the Free Republic "Front Page". With hundreds of stories being posted daily, and even sometimes hourly, it can get pretty chaotic if we were to post every article or story that we think is good.
