Germany to deny visas for Islamic conference

Germany will deny visas to participants of a planned Islamic conference in Berlin next month that security officials say appears to be justifying terrorism, the Foreign Ministry said Friday.

Organizers of the Oct. 1-3 event call on the meeting's Web site for "the liberation of all the occupied territories and countries in struggle against the American-Zionist hegemony and occupation."

Organizers say they expect between 500 and 800 participants, but have declined to say who will speak and where in Berlin the gathering will be held.

German embassies worldwide have been instructed to refuse visas to anyone who says they want to attend, Foreign Ministry spokesman Walter Lindner told a regular news briefing.

"Fundamentalists and hate preachers have no place in Germany," he said.

Germany's top security official, Interior Minister Otto Schily, said this week that the conference "seems to fall under the heading of justifying terrorist acts."

His department has indicated that efforts to organize the conference are being watched by Germany's internal security agency, the Office for the Protection of the Constitution.

On Friday, Schily said federal security officials were in talks with Berlin's city government on what steps to take.

"I have said that, if a conference is to be held on the basis of the program published in the Internet, my belief is that it cannot go ahead," he told reporters.

"We are examining all legal avenues to prevent it."

Organizers say the conference is legal.

A Berlin-based spokesman, Gabriel Daher, told The Associated Press this week that the conference was meant to "send a message of solidarity to people under occupation in Palestine and Iraq" and highlight "discrimination of Muslims and Arabs in Europe."

The Germans probably found out that Putin had ordered up
a cruise missile configured to the conference coordinates.

Wouldn't it be more effective to issue visas, then to scoop all the participants and disappear them after appropriate interrogation?

Why pick a western European infidel nation for an Islamic conference? Probably because the conferrees can obtain the good life (wine, women and song) denied them in their holy sh!tholes.

The US did nothing of sort to the real El Qaeda terrorists captured in Afghanistan. They put them in prison in Cuba, they gave them the QO-RAN to read, and paid for other Muslim fanatic preachers to help them pray that our country the great Satan will be destroyed. So before you get your bravado over Germany and France, you need to tell our friend in the White house to kill the captured terrorists!

Well, if there's a "silver lining", the costs of security for the event should be zero since there's no need to worry about any sort of terrorist attack on the meeting.

"Fundamentalists and hate preachers have no place in Germany," he said.

See! They finally went too far! They should have just stuck with hating Christians and Jews and they would have had the full support of the German government!

Yes. They breed more of their kind.

Great idea! Usher them all in. Then take the place over, rig the place with explosives, have them all strip down to their underwear, run a few through with bayonets, force them to drink their own urine, etc., etc., etc., then lock the doors and burn the place to the ground.

Hey, if it's good for the goose...
