A simple question: If foreign investors get spooked by Putin's Soviet-style authoritarianism and pull their capital out of Russia -- a distinct possibility which would collapse the Russian economy -- what will Putin do? Will he start to rant and rave against the evils of the capitalist system, like leaders of the Soviet Union from days past?

I believe there's much trouble with Russia ahead.

They did not put much money in Russia. And you cannot take natural resources out.

Under Yeltsin weak and "decentralized" mafia ridden government, money were flowing OUT of Russia. China has strong government, Chinese economy is overheating and Western investors are begging to outsource more jobs to China.

If Putin makes crackdown on crime and anarchy, the fake investment (speculation and looting) will decrease while the real investment will begin.
