Elect George Bush, some Kerry surrogates said last week, and you or your children will be drafted to fight in Iraq.
Inspiring fear in voters seems to be in political vogue this fall. (Cheney has since amended his comments to say he meant to argue that Bush has a more serious approach to deterring terrorists than does Kerry.)

I hope B/C have a response here ready - if at very least on their website
This "draft" nonsense is demagoguery. It's a last gasp for a dying campaign.
If someone brings this up to you, tell them to look at who is sponsoring the bills in Congress to restart the military draft (they're all liberal Democrats) and ask them to come back and tell you who really supports it.
who is calling for a draft?
Nah, it ain't happenin'. This is just another scare tactic employed by desperate Dims.
Suffice it to say that none of the services is having any trouble meeting recruiting goals.
We're hearing about it in western PA. The Dems are telling the young people, Bush is going to reinstate the draft after the election.
Has anyone noticed - the only people who have ever mentioned bringin back the draft have been ...
LEFT-WING RADICAL EXTREMIST POLITICIANS (from new york?)
> Will Draft Fears Sway Voters?
Only the stupid ones, and they're all Democrats already.
Everyone else will make inquiries, and discover:
Standard answer #4F:
Yes there are draft proposals, almost all Democrat.
They have NOTHING to do with military manpower requirements.
As intended-to-fail proposals, they are straw men set up
so that Kerry+Edwards can promise to oppose them.
As serious proposals, they have everything to do with
Universal National Service - stealing two years from
every life, then 3, then 4, and why stop there ...
And National Service has nothing to do with service.
It has everything to do with indoctrination of the slaves.

And I've heard military people state that if America wants to see the draft reenacted, elect Kerry, because most of them said they will not serve under Kerry. This country will have to revert to a draft in order keep their military quotas up under Kerry.
So far the only one I've heard talking about bringing back the draft is Charlie Rangel.
"Bush opposes draft
Both Bush and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld have repeatedly said they oppose a draft.
"We don't need the draft," Bush told a campaign audience in Florida last month. "I'll tell you one way you make (the all-volunteer Army) work. I just signed a defense appropriations bill, which is the fourth year in a row in which we've raised the pay of those who wear our uniform, and the pay's getting better. And the housing is getting better."
This country does not need a draft, Rumsfeld told an Army sergeant whod just returned from Iraq and asked about the draft at a town hall meeting in Fort Bliss, Texas on Aug. 23. "
Of course the democraps want to revive the draft. That way they can undermine the WOT just like they did Vietnam.
This is a war we CANNOT lose. These schmucks are KILLING us!!!
you know what your right, i remember hearing Charlie Rangel talking about this ahile back, for those that don't know Rangel is a democrat and has a voice that would be a perfect match for Susan Estrich....
The only people calling for the draft were bunch of ultra socialist representatives in the Dem party.
I would contend that If Kerry is elected, A draft would be much more likely.
Careful. Look at the other posts he's made and come back with your opinion.
Democrats will be the only people talking about a draft.
