My power has been out for three days because of Ivan. Did Buckhead really get "outed"? I don't understand the import put on our identities. The memos were outrageous and many folks recognized it. What does it matter that I may have voted for Reagan?
Yep. I posted as soon as the segment was over. However, as soon as the memos showed up on the screen I told my wife they were fake. I just checked the FR "live" thread to see if anyone had noted it yet.
You did a great thing by being so vigilant. The conversation that you, Buckhead and Howlin' (and everyone else) participated in changed the media forever; it was a watershed moment. I just hope the media doesn't make a habit of destroying the privacy of anyone who posts things they find uncomfortable. First Buckhead, hopefully not you, too.

Last I heard CNN? was camped outside his door. They used his past posts to lead to his identity. Posted his name, telephone number, address, photo...
It matters because they want to turn the story from being about media collusion with the DNC to a story about a partisan Republican activist with ties to Karl Rove and G.W.B. He doesn't have ties to the W.H., but they are trying to paint a massive right wing conspiracy.
Well, most people that post here are Republicans, certainly conservative. Most actively helping to get conservatives elected to office. Brilliant deduction on their parts to ferret out these facts.
If they will go after Buckhead, they might be attempting the same with you. Be careful.

I was channel surfing today and landed on MSNBC just before 5PM as Chris Matthews began an interview with Joe Trippi. They discussed Free Republic's outing of Dan Rather and CBS. I think Trippi mentioned TankerKC but would have to rewind my videotape to see if Buckhead was also mentioned.
I saw part of this Trippi's.. heh.. Had a great time on Howard Dean's web forums last year - it was a long term FReep.. it really is a LOT of fun messing with liberals. The best time was when Dean had his 'I believe in Jesus' Christmas time memo - seems the only way his hardcore left could rationalize that statement was he was lying! No wonder he screamed.
