Editorial: A real race for Senate (Bye-Bye Feingold)

Voters in Wisconsin sometimes complain - with good reason - that political campaigns are boring because the candidates don't disagree on all that much. No one will be able to say that about the upcoming campaign between Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.) and his chief opponent, GOP newcomer Tim Michels, a millionaire construction company executive and former Army officer.
In this race, Wisconsin voters will have a choice between two very different candidates. Between now and Nov. 2, Feingold and Michels need to debate those differences as fully and as often as possible.

After 12 year(my deepest apologies to my country), it looks like we have a good shot at ridding the country of our fine young Senator from Wisconsin! This is gonna be dirty and ugly. The campaign-finance princess has a war chest bigger than he likes to let known. Pray for us all.

We need to repeal both McCain and Feingold.

Knocking off Feingold would be a good start.

Feingold's claim to fame is the McCain/Feingold bill. Not exactly a great moment in history.

I just mailed off a check for $100 today to Mr. Michels!
I wished him good luck.
I also sent John Thune a sizable contribution to beat that lttle weasel, Daschle.

Don't fool yourself. This clown will win again the way he has always won. He gets the black vote in southeastern Wisconsin, the old scared "don't take my medicare" crowd, and the people he bullshits into believing he is not a liberal and he knows what is best for the state. He is a plague and I hope he loses. I vote against him every time and this year is no exception.

I like Michels' chances in this race. He's an underdog but a lovable one.

And while you're at it, send Thune money too. I did. Wouldn't it be great to clean the slate of Dasch-hole and Fein-toad?

The Michels family -

So he was an army ranger. I wonder how he's polling against Feingold.

Don't give too much money or some liberal reporter will research your username. They believe in hiding their criminal sources' identities but reveal ours, who are innocent conservative private citizens.

Get a campaign commercial out there that says Feingold is against everything that Proxmire was for.

I think there is reason to be optimistic! It's like this - it will be ugly, but I believe that the RNC in Wisconsin is determined for change. Michel's strong conservative values mixed with his 12 years as an Army Ranger vs a dingbat who really never made any impact other than forcing 527s. The National Republican party is going to get on this one and living in Wisconsin all my life, I know how the public will respond to a man who has voted for abortions all the way up to the 9th month. All it takes is A LOT of campaigning; the primary showed clearly that Michels knows how to be a "good closer". .

I'm going to have to dig out my old newspaper to be sure of the quote, but Michels ripped a good one on Feingold this week. Feingold did the whole namby pamby, "I call on my opponent to sign a declaration to keep this campaign clean and not distort my opponent's record."
Michels' public response was along the lines of, "I don't need to sign a pledge to remind myself I'm a man of integrity and honor."
It was delicious.

Feingold's claim to fame is the McCain/Feingold bill. Not exactly a great moment in history. He also has become a favorite child of the liberals because he was the only senator to vote against the Patriot Act.

My small contribution did more to damage Kerry than Soros's $30,000,000 did to damage Bush!
Who said the Republican Party is not the party of the little guy?!
