Actually that quote was previously attributed to Vernon Jordan when asked about a conversation with Clinton. Now tell me, which sounds more viable?

Guilty. I myself am about 14 years old at heart, though I am now 41. This is not a bad thing, it's an American thing. It's what made Dubya land a jet on an aircraft carrier and it's what made his father jump out of an airplane when he was 80+ years old. It is the mindset which made America what it is today.

A nation of Forty-Somethings who accept age as a hurdle to living life, will not survive even the easiest challenges it encounters.

As for lies, Big John Kerry appears to have been taught very early in life, that is the way it is done. Because as most of us are aware, he can lie in the same day two or more times and think most will time he will get away with it. WHY DID NOT OUR GOVERNMENT FORMERLY CHARGE HIM WITH THE WAR CRIMES AND INCORRECT BEHAVOR according to the United States 14th Amendment, article 3, and a few of the articles contained in the Military Code of Justice? He should at best be walking in endless circles at Fort Leavenworth military prison for his illegal actions while meeting with the "ENEMY" in Paris while still a Naval Reserve Officer, and all his involvment with the Anti Vietname War movement? I cannot figure this out. He
according to our Constitution has no right to be neither a United States Senator nor run for president period.

Kelley's many detractors accuse her of casting Democrat slurs on George W, but I would say he emerges from the book with his reputation slightly strengthened.

I think that Cherie, bless her heart, is jealous of Tony, of his comfort with himself, and the great unwashed masses.She wants the spotlight,the Kudos, the reciprocal love of the nation for her largess. Her competency as earth mother and tycoon. Hogwash! She is a shrew! He should beat her.

Barbara is and always was one of the boys. Feminine but just one of the guys. A genuine caring mother, a military wife, a loyal wife. She fit her life. It surrounded her like a tailored suit. It fit. She has a quick wit a sharp retort, never mean spirited, but sharp! I admire Barbara. She is who she is.
laura is cut of the same cloth, but in Laura there is a stylish, sophisticated, well read socialite, easy on the eye and the nerves. Loving her family, adoring her husband, reveling in her life. She is top drawer and a real woman of substance.
I do not think George is Quite so simplistic. I Think he has a sharp wit, has a quick understanding of the situations surrounding him and has an empathetic understanding of people. I do not think he is stuffy or a goody two shoes. I can imagine some belly laugh bawdy funning'. He is a 24K man. I think he is a sweet loving man who is not afraid of the consequences of taking a cowboy stance on many fronts. He will defend his family. WE are his family. His belief in God is his strength as it was meant to be. I would not want G.W. to be my enemy he is a much more formidable friend. Like his mother, he is who he is.
The Bush family is strong, cohesive and inspiring. I would, if I were one of them, be very proud and feel extraordinarily fortunate. It is a family of strong solid folk. The sons are awsome. I think the grandchildren may be a wonderful addition. Time will tell. A place were belonging is pretty near perfect.

Kerry is pathetic. His wife is NOW on rampage. She manages to always look like an unmade bed. He looks like a male runway model who can't get away from a mirror. The Kerry girls are going to be savaged and I am sure they do not have it coming.

Compare the Clinton family to the Bush and weep. They are a national embarrassment. Genuine vs shallow. characatures of themselves.

And, I have to say...reading about Barbara Bush, (and what Kitty Kelley sees as being her negatives) is heart-warming.

Barbara sounds JUST like my Mam - in the way she had a no-nonsense approach to her depression; stood in the shadows while her family shined; was a true matriarch behind it all, with family at the core.

I'd almost borrow (I said borrow, not BUY) a copy of the Kelley book just to read Kelley's venom in writing about a great woman.
