Has he played Goofy before? I reported on the first story that a friend had been groped by the Goofy character at the park. Wonder if this is the same guy. BTW the friend was male.

That earthquake you just felt was Disney rolling over in his grave.

Hey, wait: Wasn't he frozen?

I was groped by Goofy at Disneyland in LA at the characters' breakfast (two separate incidences). Maybe it's the character.

It was two different years. My friends were laughing! Must be something about the costume.

Goofy will just plead insanity.

Maybe it's the fact that they can't see squat through the headgear and, even when their real hands are in perfectly appropriate places, the much larger character hands may be touching inappropriate places.

Or, it could just be that only total loons do that as a job for anything but very brief times.

I have friends who work at WDW (mostly at The Adventurer's Club on Pleasure Island and as Streetmosphere performers at the other parks), but they are all real actors (most with legit film credits, such as Mel Gibson't The Patriot or HBOs From The Earth To The Moon) who play human characters, not costume characters. Someday I'll have to ask them if there's anything odd about the folks that climb into the costumes.

That reminds me of a joke.

Did you hear that Mickey Mouse is leaving Minnie Mouse? He heard someone say she was...

Oh never mind I don't want to get banned.

maybe PleasureIsland and groping should not be in the same
paragraph. I'm guessing this guy goes to Star Trek conventions and speaks Klingon.

I love that joke. Especially if told by someone who knows how to do that falsetto Mickey voice.

Years ago I was in Characters at WDW in Orlando. Because of my size I played (don't laugh): TweedleDee (or TweedleDum, who could tell...), Goofy, Pluto and finally Tigger.

There is a hierarchy in characters: TDee or TDum occupy the lowest rung, the dogs are in the middle, and Tigger is at the top cause everybody loves Tigger. I was 16 to 18 years old and loved having my picture taken with all the teenage girls, but I can tell you that there's no way your are going to feel anything through those costumes...

Speaking as one who knows...

I almost got slapped by Chip or Dale once at Disney World. I think it's because I yelled "Look! It's Alvin!"

I'm guessing that if this guy goes to a Star Trek convention and tries to speak Klingon he'll get his guts strewn on the floor with a convenient Mekleth.

Kapla!

And if you go to PI, at least on Tuesdays, and go to either 8 Tracks or Manequins, groping will be the least of your problems! AC is family friendly (in an adult sort of way) and lots of fun, on the other hand.

Just how often were you trying? :-)

Proper scientific procedure requires that an experiment be repeated, perhaps many hundreds of times, to verify results.

(Besides how um, excitable were you when you were 16, 17, or 18 years old?)

Seriously, most of the costumes (all of the ones I was in) made such activities futile. Not that we weren't kidded about "getting some" all the time...
