Kerry is still a rich boy looking for an identity. Most of his supporters are only Bush haters. The rest are clueless, or he's the only one we got.

I think Kerry is the only one who actually thinks he could win this election. I know the Clintons don't.

Actually the rural areas of CA are fairly conservative and Republican. However, the population density is centered in the Bay and LA areas. Alas, if those areas would just slip off into the ocean, this would be a good state.

After spending the first four decades of my life in Berkeley, I am familiar with California and its politics. However, I always thought of Eureka as part of the Humboldt birkenstock/granola cult. Its good to see some sanity there.
