I've heard that Freerepublic is like a bulletin board. Personally, I don't care what they call it, as long as we are making a difference.
We are a huge part of the new paradigm, because bloggers get a lot of their info right here.
Thanks for posting this.

my best regards to all involved.
at the risk of getting banned (yes, I am a repentant and reformed retread, as you probably already well know), may I resume my previous status as a monthly donor? This site has more than proved its value, and must be maintained.
May I please rejoin the ranks of the righteous?

As I recall at the time, Howlin was the one who really was on top of this spreading the word. BIG Kudos belong to Howlin!

"47" has now entered the vernacular. Envision the following headline: "Rather 47'd, 86'd By Internet PJ Patrol at FreeRepublic.com."........

Bump for my husband who is out of town and keeps calling me with "breaking news" that I heard here at FR two days before...
I will have to explain to him my sudden affection for pajamas when he gets back, though...

Thanks for this Thread Jim.
Members of Congress are now starting to weigh in
Speaking of congress, I normally do not watch MSNBC, but caught Joe Scarborough's show last night. He had some notables on and J.D. Hayworth was one of them. I was surprised at how the panel took CBS apart. Here is the TRANSCRIPT.
Hayworth stated...
"Now, as I said the other day on the floor of the House, Joe, the questions becomesor two questionswhat did Dan Rather know and when did he know it? Understand, in addition to being the anchor, he is the managing editor of The CBS Evening News. He has a hand in the creative control of what went on during that report in 60 Minutes II, and, as a journalist, he is obligated to actually get to the real story, not to maintain a partisan stance, not to take this delusional type of stonewalling, not to engage in a cover-up. This is a serious question. And you see now how its affected the viewership of his broadcast, and ultimately that will probably be what does in Dan Rather professionally. "

Ping. When you get back from the woods, you're going to wonder what's been going on the past couple of weeks. This article will sum it up quite nicely. Ping for your must see reading list.
