Also, many, many readers are pointing me to Burkett's op-ed from August 25th of this year in which he says that he had "reassembled" Bush's TANG file and specifically called out the years 1972 and 1973 - the same years that the Killian forgeries were purportedly written.
Is it a good clue? Sure. But it's not quite the smoking gun - the Kinko's fax number is more interesting to me. Everyone knows Burkett has been trying to get the media to focus on Bush's National Guard years. And he claimed to find documents, and he claimed that Bush henchmen were trying to "cleanse" the files of anything to embarrass the future president.
Besides, establishing Burkett as the source is now almost moot. The dubiousness of CBS' source is demonstrated by the memos themselves. The question is, what are the powers that be at CBS going to do about it?
And he should be under arrest now.

The fact that the Texas Democrats meet monthly at the Abilene, TX Kinko's is the smoking gun, IMHO.
