Both are wrong. It's the curse of David Cone. Until NYC stops being so busy-busy hustle-bustle, they won't win the WS...

As if you could do something about that!

I know Mo is a legend, and pitching your closer in the 9th is "by the book." But I've always been of the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" school. Gordon was a known quantity tonight, and had thrown only an inning and a third.

What's disappointing is treating Bronson Arroyo like he's Randy Johnson. Bronson has been ON this year .....
Forget fifth starter, he's been a strong #3.

A great game. I love pitching duels. WOTS sure played well enough to win and so did Arroyo and neither got the W. We out-Yankeed the Yankees (and that's a straight-up compliment). Very nice. Thanks!

If Sunday isn't rained out, I'd gladly take a double-header with the division potentially on the line if the games are as good as this one.
Provided that the Red Sox win of course. ;-)

Pretty sure I read that A-Rod is, and there was a recent article (posted here on FR, too) about baseball owners who gave money to Bush. There are Kerry supporters, though,
like Red Sox co-owner Tom Werner (main squeeze is
Katie Couric)
As a matter of fact:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1215130/posts
>>"The Bush campaign has also received direct contributions from owners...Those include $2,000 contributions from owners George Steinbrenner of the New York Yankees...(later):
"The Democratic nominee has also received $2,000 contributions from Boston Red Sox chairman Tom Werner"
To: JoeA
"... and the better record right now is.... Oh yeah, the team with the lousy pitching...." That's right!
The Yankee's "closer"has been anything but that against the Sox for the last two yrs.
Let the games begin, George has got to be steamed after spending a hundred and seventy or eighty million for a team that sucks!
The Yankees hay day is over for now they will be irrelevant in the post season like Nader. They just haven't figured it out yet.
