Actually, I just checked and they're O&O by Infinity which is owned by Viacom...but that's basically the same difference. In other words, they can't really dump CBS.

Oh good. I recently wrote a reply about what to do about KCBS which is also owned and operated by Viacom. The same ideas apply to KNX.

KCBS is a wholly owned subsiary of Viacom which owns CBS. Every few years it has to renew its broadcast license to use the public airwaves. You need to start a letter campaign to the management of KCBS that if Rather and the others at CBS responsible for the memo story on 60 Minutes are not forced to resign, that you will write letters to the FCC recommending that Viacom not be given a renewal of its KCBS broacast license. Networks like CBS actually make more money from their wholly owned affiliates than the make from their netword operations.
