You know, I've been a member of FR since before the 2000 election. I have not always agreed with the posts of the male-dominated membership in FR, but I have appreciated the positions of each and every one of you. But it has become very clear to me during this 2004 campaign why many women cannot embrace the conservative and/or Republican agenda. I have been since Nixon, and will remain one despite the predominance of the sexist condescension of a large group of Republican men. So let's get down to the bare bones of the situation, okay? And I really couldn't care less about the flames and insults that the lower domination of the FR membership will inflict on me for this little tirade of mine. There are so, so many women just like me who fervently believe in the ideals of the Republican and George W. Bush. We may recognize the lack of a female perspective in some issues, but we grasp the overall concept and recognize it as our own core values. We have basically learned to pick our battles. We share the views of conservative men in regards to our need for a superior military defense, a belief in the need for personal accountability and responsibility, a eff-you attitude towards our former French and Canadian and other similar so-called "allies," a need to defy the wimpy attitudes of those utopian countries who are in total denial about the condition of the world today and the necessarily severe actions necessary to ensure the survival of a righteous and moral world. We're out here, guys, and we feel just as strongly about these values as you do even if we don't feel the need to express them with your chest-beating and neverending pissing contests.
So in the midst of your extemely intelligent, compassionat idealogy, the less evolved of you start spouting your sexist and primate idealogy that becomes such a total turn-off to so many women who believe in your core values. Why do most women vote liberal? Because so many men are so busy being macho that they refus to embrace a woman's perspective on issues. You won't deter me or a very, very large group of women just like me. We are a very large and growing block of voters, and to grow that base, you need to recognize our different perspectives on the same core values. Stop pushing us away, and embrace our contributions. We are not so different, only the way God intends us to be. There's a reasons for differences, and they are for the greater good.
So hit me with your best shot. I will probably never post here again. And know this: I believe in George W. Bush, and will always be a conservative woman, although I'll probably be searching for another venue to share my beliefs.
:-)
Ahh .... so that's what's behind this posting. Thanks for the enlightenment. I've been patiently waiting for an answer from 2-in-Texas for over a half hour now. Looks like you've provided the closest thing to an answer I can expect to get. I went and found that thread and I find it most interesting that she had this to say ---
"..... I just love generalized smears against a entire group of people ....."
It might help if you identify what you're so pissed about.
I read your post with sincere intent on responding thoughtfully and point-by-point. The further I got, the more I realized someone's either pissed at her man or having a hormone surge of some kind. It's not that she's female, it's that there's NO SUBSTANCE in the rant. So here's what I think you're looking for. Enjoy...
...and ain't it just like a broad to get bent outta shape and yell for an hour without telling you whatcha did? I mean...the skirt's got some points, I'm sure, but why the thin skin? If you're nice to me I might let you have more money back from your second job's paycheck. C'mon baaaaby you're bustin my chops an' I didnt do nuttin. So whaddya say, love-chunks, let's kiss and make up?! And sensuous up,....
Get me a beer.

A few notes :
1. "I wanna talk about me" - Toby Keith. Listen to it.
2. Fried Green Tomatoes - a movie to watch while eating bon-bons and drinking fuzzy navels.
3. Thelma and Louise - A movie to watch if this post makes you mad....or for a release. You won't mind the Brad Pitt part.
4. The female perspective is as diverse as the male perspective. You bought into the liberal lie before you started typing.
5. Nixon wasn't conservative.
6. Chest-thumping men are the kind that saved OUR asses starting in 1776. You should appreciate them. Sure, sometimes men sound like boys, kids, or even idiots, but why can't you just tell us to shut up and go take out the trash?
It's what my wife does. And I definitely value her perspective.
Seriously, lighten up. This place is a great forum for all of us, and the collective bravado and sense of humor is a bonus, not a negative.
Do I act on my genetic programming in a civilized society? No. The society in which I was raised taught me that was a bad thing to do.
Women obviously have different genetic programming. I've long stopped trying to understand their programming, I just try to "get along" with them. I'm satisfied that I understand my own programming.
Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus, yadayadayada.
Just because a lot of what I think you're complaining about is male hormone induced, it doesn't mean any of us would act on it. It's just men being men. Set it aside, accept it, and get to the root of what the post says.
With that aside, may I suggest that you break your posts into paragraphs.
It improves readability and gives you a better chance of having your posts read. When I see a post that's one long screen of text with no breaks, I generally skip it and move on to the next post.
It only takes a minimal amount of work, (and extra keystrokes) but with a little practice, it's relatively easy to do.
Here's the FR page for what they call the HTML Sandbox
It's an intro to how to post on FR using HTML.
Another thing, by breaking your posts in paragraphs, it helps organize your thoughts; subject, body of what you want to say, conclusion, etc...
I'm not flaming you, just trying to help out.
Yeah.
So?
As a guy, I really don't mind most double standards. Some of them are really very charming! Others work in our favor, so I'd be foolish to complain about the ones that favor females.
Men are never correct. It's a X-Y thing as well as Bush's fault.
Got your period, did ya?
I wouldn't have him any other way.
BOINK! LOL Haven't heard that word used in awhile. What a great word.
So... if a man speaks in the forest, and there's no woman there to hear him, is he still wrong?
Oops!
Deb, maybe you can get Ms. 2-in-Texas up to speed on who REALLY rules the roost on Free Republic. Gads! ;-)
Boobs.
Oooh, now you've done it.
I always heard it as "If a man has a thought in a forest, and a woman isn't around to tell him he's wrong - did he ever really have a thought at all?" :-)
I know. ROFL at how sickening we women can be.
Oh I agree 100%! (And to let you in on a secret, a lot of guys find it kind of cool when women talk to each other using terms like sweetie, cutie, darling, etc. So feel free to do that in our presence also -- no one will complain.)
Okay, sweets!
LOL!
Thank you. Yours is the most civil post I've received. I don't post often, and will not in all likelihood post again. Your suggestions are appreciated, regardless.
