Just watched the account on PBS news of the Kerry Guard convention speech. They juxtaposed about 3 minutes of Bush's speech a couple of days ago with 3 minutes of Kerry's speech today. Although they made no verbal comment, the difference was so devastating for Kerry that I am amazed they showed it! (Bush was recieved warmly, smiling faces, appropriate applause, etc.) Kerry on the other hand delivered his defeatist screed to stonefaced silence. The camera panned at times to a few listeners walking out, a few boo's and NOT A SINGLE CLAP BY ANYONE IN THE CROWD! Kerry paused as if waiting for applause a few times, but NOTHING! I was dumfounded that they showed this on PBS!
Did anyone get another view?

As a vet, I cannot imagine any vet voting for Kerry. It simply does not compute after his denigration of all VN Vets and the Guard. Let's hope every Vet gets out the veteran's vote and all vote for the true leader, George Bush!

I despise Kerry, but will applaud his defeat only when I'm sure that the RATs do not undermine the election like they tried to do last time, and nearly did it. I do not trust RATs in any election and this one is crucial. Get out the Pubbie votes for Bush!

Last weekend, the local Kerry campaign here in Pittsburgh PA tried to hijack the Irish Festival (in Station Square) by turning it into a Kerry rally. The Kerry supporters had a Kennedy family member with them and the group jumped onto the performance stage with signs and began to give a speech. THEY WERE BOOED OFF THE STAGE -- and remember, this was Pittsburgh PA with an audience of largely Irish Catholics.
