How about this for hypocrisy. The memos are fraudulent but the message in the memos is thought to be true by Rather and CBS so President Bush must respond. The accusation of bias and complicity on the part of Rather is thought to be true by the pajama bloggers but Rather and CBS don't have to address this because the pj bloggers are amateurs.

Another interesting paragraph from this ABC News story:
If CBS did rely on false documents, it would be a major blow for Rather, 70, nearing the end of his career after nearly a quarter-century as the network's top anchor. Coupled with the distant third-place ranking of the "CBS Evening News," there's some speculation it could hasten his departure.

That is strong language coming from ABC News, a competitor with CBS News. I rather guess (so to speak) that it is about up for Mr. Rather.

This story has big legs; I have been surprised by the people that bring it up in casual conversation.

Credibility? What credibility? For informed voters, this scandal doesn't change their opinions of Dan Rather and CBS: it CONFIRMS it!

Yes-I photoshopped it yesterday and posted it here first. I sent to Lucianne.com and they used it today. I was rather amused at Rather's blather- did this one:

and this one, too

Here's the slightly naughty animated version

Is it time for Free Republic to consider legal action? Perhaps a class action lawsuit?

Imagine if each of us gave $10 or so, and hired some good attorney's - like the PowerLine guys - to go after CBS?

The LEFT does this all the time, and being one that normally doesn't view tort as a way to accomplish things, it could be fun!

Kind of like when we all went to DC to Impeach Clinton.

You're absolutely positively a genius. That cover, especially, is destined for greatness!
