PB, Marine Corps bootcamp has a lot more to do with the mind than with the body.
Where the mind goes the body will follow. That's what it's all about.
Always remember that you are where you're supposed to be in God's plan.

It was a different world when Jarhead1957 and I went through, but somehow the Marine Corps has been able to keep shaping men's minds and bodies in spite of all the PC crap since the late '50s.
They're proving this in Iraq every day.

The ones I saw washout in '58 were simply unable to accept the mental conditioning required.
Some of them tried again and made it.

I went through Marine Corps Boot Camp in 1970 and the biggest challenge went on BETWEEN MY EARS! It was the greatest challenge and greatest change I EVER had experienced in my young life and I was much younger than Rather when he went through.

Rather should have been able to deal with it mentally, but in actually he couldn't handle it, and so he played the 'physically unable to perform' card! I saw it happen to recruits in my platoon who had plenty of physical ability but were weak in the mind and wussed out!

Rather WUSSED OUT!

By the way, all of you on this thread really need to get one of these Swiftee stickers for your vehice!

Swiftee Sticker thread - get yours!
