"Last week, Knox said she had no firsthand knowledge of Bush's time with the Texas Air National Guard, although she did recall a culture of special treatment for the sons of prominent people, such as Bush and others."
The rest of the article mostly reports on an interview the Chronicle's reporters conducted with Knox on September 14, 2004, the day before the article was published and several days AFTER she said she had "no firsthand knowledge of Bush's time with the Texas Air National Guard." In the days between the two interviews, she appears to have received a "lost memory restoration" treatment. From whom???? This looks suspicioiusly like the "memory restoration" treatments that were given to toddlers in the 80's so they could testify in mass ritualistic child sex abuse cases and frame totally innocent child care providers.
I have heard she wasn't Killian's personal secretary, but was a secretary in the "typing pool" and was therefore outside the circle of close, personal contact with Killian.
Can anyone verify this?
That was said by Killian's son last night on Hannity and Colmes.
Joe and Jane Average don't care - it doesn't relate to who the man is - Bush has never claimed hero status, or made it the centerpiece of his campaign.
That's what Gary Killian said on last night's Hannity & Colmes.
Nice find. Very interesting. She knows for certain that the documents are fake because she typed everything for Lt Colonel Killian and she did not type these. However, these statements would appear to cast doubt on how much she knew about Bush's performance in the Guard. Very interesting.
I think it's in an article from today's Houston Chronicle.
"Knox said she had no firsthand knowledge of Bush's time with the Texas Air National Guard, although she did recall a culture of special treatment for the sons of prominent people, such as Bush and others."
And her own son, as well.
Very true. This article shows all the adverse material about Bush that she testified to with Rather yesterday was implanted into her mind in the last week, probably by a DNC operative or a CBS operative. They're using forged memos to implant a fake memory to support the false contents of the forged memos.
Yep, prominent offspring rec'd special treatment. That's why Botox Ketchupman was allowed to take movies of his 'Nam tour, personally informed of the special 3 purple hearts and you're out unwritten rule, and most importantly, Ketchupman got to personally put himself in for the awards for the chicken scratches he rec'd while committing wartime atrocities that he testified he had performed. Yep, prominent offspring rec'd special treatment.
From what I understand, it was the other way around. She was the staff typist that several staff officers shared, LTC Killian being only one. Not your typical typing pool where there are several secretaries sharing the workload.
Interesting info ping, read post #1
Killian's son says that She was merely a pool secretary, yet Knox, herself, contends that the memos are forgeris because she didn't type them. The next thingto ascertain is who Killian's personal secrtary was.
Does anyone honestly believe Bush would have gotten anything but special consideration from the TANG regardless of whether or not his family asked that h get it?
Last week was before Rather "coached" her. He practically led her through his script last night on a leash.
This is the most important statement. She cannot say that "this was the sentiment at that time" regarding Bush specifically. She is speaking in generalities about the "culture of special treatment". She is not a credible source, as she ADMITS she "had no firsthand knowledge of Bush's time..." there.
Why? He likely didn't have one but just "shared" Knox with others. In that scenario, the idea of him having anyone type CYA notes that could come back to bite his own career is ludicrous -- and the point his son made on Day 1. It would have been professional suicide and no officer would have done it.
