Hey Chinito

First off, my thanks to you for walking the beat.

Unfortunately, Cali gun laws supersede the expiration of the AWB. Semi-auto rifles like the AR-15, SKS, etc, are still illegal, as are magazines made after the ban that hold more than 10 rounds.

As a matter of fact, the Governor just signed a law making the .50BMG illegal, because as we all know, a firearm that fires a heavy machine gun round is the "choice" of drug dealers and gang bangers in California. Don't know if they just outlawed the round or firearms that can fire the round, or both.

Best Regards

Sergio

The MSM doesn't understand or care what this ban really was, a cosmetic, make your liberal voters feel good, piece of nonsense.

Even Dennis Miller thinks we will now have ooozi's and machine guns at gun shows!! I hope some of you will let him know he is not informed!

Sergio... I think Chinito was not asking about the AWB but rather HR218 which is the national concealed carry for LEO's.

Follow the link a few posts above to the LEAA site to read more about the law.

common sense legislation like LEAA 'national concealed carry for cops' is finally becoming the law of the land.

Uh... not quite.

My a*hole boy gov., Rod Blowaguyabit(sp?) wants (or just signed) an IL 'law' overruling this. King Richie Daley doesn't want it either. Both boneheads say it'd be too dangerous for old ex-cops to be packing heat - especially ones from out of state. And they were especially concerned about ex-MP's packing heat - can't trust those crazy soldiers ya know.

Dohh! My bad, I keyed in on Chinitos sentence, "Do individual states have the option not to follow this law?", and thought he was referring to the AWB.

Still, if you value your Second Amendment rights, it sucks to live in California.

Thanks for the catch MossberPump.

Best Regards
