Burkett Admits in February Weblog that He Saw Killian Documents in the Trash
Allah Pundit/Commissar Post ^ | 9/16/04

I encourage you to check out the Commissar's post.

He found a comment left by Bill Burkett on a blog back in February that includes the following sentence:

'Of the files that I saw within the 15 gallon waste can were numerous documents which detailed why 1LT George Bush was grounded from flying including a two page counseling statement signed by LTC Jerry Killian.'

Compare the abbreviation of Bush's rank used by Burkett with the one used by the forger in the August 1, 1972 memo. (1st Lt.)

According to several readers, '1LT' is the correct form.

If Burkett is the forger, if he knows the proper abbreviations, and he wants the documents to be believed, why on earth would he screw it up?

Does anyone believe one of us could push obvious fakes on CBS? Would CBS accept forgeries of "proof" Kerry shot small children and ran from battle?

I have the feeling conservatives would be held to a higher standard. Hell, if we handed them total truth with God's stamp of approval on it, and it was negative on Kerry, CBS would reject it.

When SeeBS (CBS) is so one-sided they're willing to encourage crimes, they have lost all credibility.

Do you mean like a Silver Star with a "V" citation written by someone who says they've never seen it before?

No, CBS got 6 documents, but only released 4.

Do you know that, for sure? And how? It's not because they themselves said so in their message to the affiliates, yesterday?

The Air Force and the Army have long used different rank abbreviations

Can you download the AF and Army instructions or manuals that say exactly the same thing? What's the URL for those pdfs?

I'll answer my own question.

I've been reading this forum for about 6 months now and have to finally join so I can ask this question (not that I haven't wanted to join before - afraid of becoming addicted!)

The question that keeps popping up for me on everything I've read about these supposed 'documents in the trash' is: if "Bush" people were going to clean out documents, wouldn't they be smart enough to shred them in the room and not leave them laying around in a 15 gallon trash can? I mean, aren't they supposed to be 'professionals'? This just doesn't seem to jell in my brain for me.

ABC showed video of one of CBS's experts reviewing one of the memos that was not included on 60 minutes. It was a document she got from CBS. So, yes, I know it for sure.

But specifically what broadcast, what program? The question was whether CBS told the truth in its letter to the affiliates, yesterday, that it did indeed have all six memos found on the USA Today website, before USA Today had them.

Yeah, and if the Bush people are successfully 'crushing' dissent, like some lefties say - how come the lefties saying it have cushy tenured jobs (eh, Mark Crispin Miller) and arent instead breaking rocks in some re-education camp?

Or if the Bush's are worse than the Sopranos like Kitty Kelly says, how come she is saying it on national TV instead of wearing cement shoes in a joisey swamp.

etc.

the leftie tin-foil brigade has their conspiracy theories but they are self-refuting!!
