Freep Vetting Needed: Fmr TANG Gen. Daniels and Van Os have SAME ZIP CODE

Posted on 09/15/2004 11:58:47 PM PDT by The Bandit

Gen. Daniels is on the Vetrans for Kerry steering comittee and was in the TANG although I haven't been able to find out when. David Van Os is the lawyer for Burkett and may have a connection with Daniels. I've found 2 different connections between Van Os and and somebody named Tom Daniels. One on an old website from 2000 that was very loose. Basically just showed they were both in the democratic party and active. I also found a little better connection on on www.opensecrets.org. Both of them have given money to various democratic organizations, no big deal there but they both have the same zip code. Tom Daniels is a political consultant by the way. As I said I don't know if it's the same guy as Gen. Daniels but I haven't been able to find any sort of listing for a General Daniels so it has me wondering.

By the way the zip code is 78209.

Freep this apart and find if there is really a connection.

I haven't heard the name Daniels come up yet. Is his part of Rathergate something you're formulating yourself, or has he been mentioned as a player somewhere else?

I wonder if it is this General:

Burkett says that in the spring of 1997, on the eve of Bush's reelection campaign for governor, and with his spokeswoman Karen Hughes planning to write Bush's biography, a call was placed to Maj. Gen. Daniel James, head of the Texas National Guard. According to the conversation Burkett says he overheard, Bush's chief of staff, Joe Allbaugh, asked James to assemble Bush's military files, so his aides, including Dan Bartlett, could go over them, and to make sure there was nothing there that would embarrass the governor. Burkett says days later he also saw pages from Bush's military file in a garbage can.

Kerry's web site just refers to a Gen. Daniels. Grrrrr I'd really like to know who this General is Kerry refers to!

Why would Kerry's website refer to a person as General (First Name) instead of General (Last Name)?

Plus, if this event happened, wouldn't that put the good general on our team? There are thousands and thousands of living Generals. Daniels is a common last name. I don't think you've found him.

OK, think I found a Burkett and Gen. Daniels connection to a Kerry Texas fundraiser. I'll report more tomorrow when I can make sense of these players. If it is the same General that sponsors Kerry in Texas and he can be connected to Burkett this may lead to something significant.

By the way, I'm pretty sure 78209 is Alamo Hieghts, which is an incorperated city inside the San Antonio city limits. Lots of money there.

Van Os is also running for the Texas Supreme Court. See http://www.vanosforsupremecourt.com

Bill Burkett even provides a testamonial to Van Os on the website

Does this guy understand the law? Let's analyze this statement:

"Asked what role Mr. Burkett had in raising questions about Mr. Bush's military service, Mr. Van Os said: "If, hypothetically, Bill Burkett or anyone else, any other individual, had prepared or had typed on a word processor as some of the journalists are presuming, without much evidence, if someone in the year 2004 had prepared on a word processor replicas of documents that they believed had existed in 1972 or 1973 - which Bill Burkett has absolutely not done'' - then, he continued, "what difference would it make?"
